whatever its called, the next update should be in September. according to the iPhone10 bugs blog the apps crash and security hole seem to be the two main bugs that will force this release sooner rather than later. September was mentioned by Apple,btw.

thanksFirst, make sure you are logged into the App Store with the same AppleID that you used to purchase the apps.
If that is not it, look in the App Store under Purchases. Are they there?
If not, go into your account in App Store and click the link to show hidden purchases.
If they are still not there, use the support link in the App Store.
If they do show up, copy all the apps to an external drive, then remove them from your Mac. Go to the App Store, Purchases, and install from there. -
I am trying to update my iTunes so I can sync my new iphone 5s and it doesn't recognize the phone, apple support said I need to update my iTunes when I try and do that I get an error message that says " the ITunes update server could not be contacted. Please check your internet connection or try back later.
My internet works fine and I have tried back dozens of times with same result.Did you ever figure out the problem? "Contact Software Manufacturer"?? That sounds ominous... I've got the same issue and I'm pretty durn aggravated right about now....

Iphone went out, when i did get it back on, up in the top left of screen it continues to show searching, and wi-fi is grayed out keeping me from restoring it. what can i do to fix this?
Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data by resetting, but it can clear some glitches.
If this does not work, try to set it up as new device without using the latest backup.

I am running Lion 10.7.2 and I have an external drive hooked to my time machine. I can't rename folders and when trying, I get an error code 8076. The checkbox "ignore permissions for this device" does not show on volume info. Help please???
The TIme Machine volume does not have that checkbox.
I think the issue is with your Finder...
Go to Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences trash these files:
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
Then, restart, or log out and in again.
(You will have to reset a few finder prefs the way you like them.) -

Any suggestions??When I open Keyboard Shortcuts, the name field under Set: is highlighted in dark blue. I cannot type a name in it. The button NEW SET remains ungray. When I click on the button no change happens to allow me to create new set.
I also noticed that I am unable to scroll down in the InDesign document using scroll off mouse.
So I have to click and drag to get around not using the up/down arrows when moving the illustrations.
If I have to enter text I will use storybook.
If I have to delete text I will use the InDesign document.
Very limited with the functionality - I was better off using Adobe InDesign 2.0!
Will need more time to investigate why the keyboard and mouse are not being recognized. At this time I will have to use the work-arounds to meet deadlines and revisit later. -

Time beign i can over come it by turing off the cellular connetion to on and off mode where it resetting the data connection...!!!Since you haven't bothered to describe what this mysterious "data connection issue" is, we have no way to confirm or deny your statement that the problem is widespread.
The fact remains, you're using it on an unsupported carrier.
If you'd like to try and describe WHAT THE PROBLEM IS instead of getting defensive about it, we might be able to help. Otherwise, your initial question has been answered. No one here can tell you when the next update to iOS will be released. -

Never mind. I kept trying, and finally when I opened "About This Mac" and clicked the software update from there (as opposed to the "Software Update" just below), the Java update finally worked.

Depends on whether it can be fixed or not. You don't give much detail except that it keeps crashing (or what you have tried in order to fix it).

It's normal for it to get warm especially on a long charge, but not hot.
Take it to an Apple store and see what they have to say. -

Apple has made no announcement about any upcoming updates. Generally, they only announce major updates (e.g. iOS 8) in advance. You'll get a notification on your phone when it's available.

Carrier Settings are dependent entirely on your carrier. 2G is old outdated and slow etc, most carriers are phasing out their 2G service. You would need to ask your carrier when they plan on releasing a new update.
Why on earth do you want to set your iPhone to 2G? It will automatically switch to 2G if 3G is not available, and 2G is found.
