When do we get skype updates?

I feel like the linux version of skype is lagging behind the others. It's missing bolding and strikethroughs, and is the least cared about version of the software. When can we expect regular updates, or at least skype for web?

Not just a 64-bit version, we need updated packages for the latest distroes. While I understand Ubuntu 12.04 is still supported by Canonical, it won't be forever, and I'm more of a bleeding-edge person who prefers the latest version, be it LTS or not.
Plus, it's iffy and very sloppy to install; having to attempt to install it then run 'apt-get install -f' to get 32-bit dependencies is something that I know how to do, but your average joe who just wants to use Skype won't know anything beyond their distro's package manager interface or double-clicking an install package.
If Microsoft wants their cross-platform commitment to be taken seriously, then their cross-platform offerings must be at least relatively close in feature-set and simplicity. It's not that hard to do. Honestly, I wonder whether or not there's just one or two people working on the Linux versions... which is sad when you consider Android uses the Linux kernel.

FCP X does allow you to analyze the footage on ingest for auto color balance and use that as a starting point.
If you want more powerful grading you might want to look at Davinci Resolve Lite which is free.
As to when you will get the next update and what it might contain, speculation about that is not allowed on these boards according to the TOU. In any case, those who know can't speak.

actually in india denim latest is available for only lumia 520 and 535 ....remaining mobiles have cyan update .....but lumia 730 comes with denim update but older built 14167 ....we will get new update soon ..they already mention in microsoft website in country variants which mobile got denim update are not

I know they might be a lot of post about it, but i keep reading on the internet that the 4.4 kit kat for xperia z1 is out.
Even if i plug my phone to my conputer.. its doesnt show any updated and i would like to have it.
I'm from Canada with Rogers, can it be the fact that my wireless provider did not sent it yet ?

Oh, also, it would be nice if my phone stop to crash evrytime i try to play a little game. It's kinda annoying, and also my picture ishh not that great !!! I'm having black or white screen sometime and i even erase evething from my phone and had it individually and it still doing it. I change from Apple to sony to find out that its full of problem.. and having a nice case for the phone.. there's none, not even one case on sony website !!

kitkat are big mistake from android

why do Nokia employee's not know how to reply in a way that is concise and informative?
The original creator of this thread states the product code:059C9F6 and gives a country of origin, where as in your reply you state a code of 0599255 which is not the same (no matter how related internally it may be) and does not help answer anything!
Secondly you do not state if you are referring to the originators country of origin or to other posters on the thread??? How hard would it be to just sum up that for the UK, updates with be on the 8th Feb 2012????
Really, this just shows why as a company Nokia is falling so far behind, if you can't even answer questions successfully so people can glean at a glance the answer! Internal meetings must go on for hours at Nokia, which would explain why any release you ever promise is late!

When could I get an update?

The last update was in Sept. The current version looks awkward on 6+ please make an update asap.

If there are problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version and delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Contact your provider as to why..if your device is locked to them they only push out the updates.

Not unusual but when I go to the update site it searches for a minute and then tells me that I have the current version of the software.

If you use the www.google.com/firefox site as home page that previous Firefox 3 versions use as the home page then you can ignore the message about not using the latest Firefox version on that page. 
Google no longer seems to maintain that page. 
Current Firefox 4+ versions no longer use that Google website as the home page, but use the build-in about:home page as the home page. 
Google assumes that you use an older Firefox version if you still visit that site and warns you that you use an older Firefox version and suggests to update. 
You can use another page as the home page like about:home or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle).

and the specific part of the article you will want to look at first is right here:
"Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.

My ITunes got corrupted and I kept getting a message when updating iTunes64msi missing so I uninstalled all files and I thought I removed all registry values but when reinstalling I get an older version is installed and cannot be removed. I need a solution.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
