When does Plus upgrade start?

Last night I finally clicked to upgrade my purchased junk to iTunes Plus. They said they'd drop me an email with instructions on how to download them. 16 hours later, no email yet. It's Apple, it's iTunes, so I don't think I've been scammed, but what is the deal here? When am I going to be able to start downloading the stuff I paid for? I can't find any information on the process in the help section and there doesn't seem to be anything about this in the forum archives. Do I need to call my bank and change all of my accounts or will this eventually happen?

Look under the Store menu in iTunes for the "Check for available downloads" command and run that. You may find the tracks there to be downloaded.
If not, contact the iTunes Store using the form linked from their Download support web page and explain the problem to them.

4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

When does hibernate mode start?

Sometimes, my MBP holds sleepmode for a great amount of hours (flashing led) and other times the MBP seems to be turned off, but when opening the display, the MBP seems to wake up from hibernate mode (sleepmode without flashing led). Is there a special rule behind, when MBP starts hibernatemode? I heard in another forum, that after 5 hours sleeptime the MBP changes to hibernate? Is that correct? Why does this not always happen after 5 hours?

Your X200's battery is probably completely drained during hibernation. Try fully charge your battery, hibernate it, unplug the adapter, leave it alone for 3-5 hours and turn it back on. See if the battery power has drained or not.
It is a known bug of Vista and Win 7.

Respect user preferences when doing an upgrade

If on a Install I had unchecked click-to-call, Set bing as home page and search engine. on the windows desktop client upgrader, the next upgrade wizard prompt should remember that and keep it unchecked. How hard is it to respect user preferences?

You are not supposed to lose the double-the-data promotion as long as you maintain a 4G phone on the line. If for some reason it drops off when you activate the new phone, call Customer Service and have them reinstate it (you'll have a 14-day window from the time it drops off for them to reinstate it, otherwise it's lost forever). Buying phones at places other than Corporate Verizon stores or VZW on-line, such as third-party retailers, can be tricky when maintaining these type promotions. If you are paying full retail price for the phone and then activating it yourself on-line, you probably won't have an issue. But if you get a subsidized phone and activate it at the third-party retailer, they may not be able to maintain your double-the-data promotion due to their system ... then you'd need to contact Customer Service and get them to reinstate it.

Backup locks up when doing version upgrade

I am trying to upgrade to ver. 5.01 but itunes locks up just barely into the backup prior to the updates. Does anyone know how to fix this?

When does Java Web Start install want to reboot?

Hi,
I'm installing JWS 1.0.1_02 and at least in one case I'm seeing that the install wants to reboot the machine during the install process. I'd like to avoid that if possible, so I would like to understand in what circumstances the install process wants to reboot the machine.
I've seen references in other topics regarding the use of the javawebstart dll that causes a reboot, but I don't think it is the case here.
I have a machine that is W2K that I've installed numerous times and the install has never asked to reboot. I have another machine that is NT that it seems to always want to reboot.
Is it related to OS type? (I need to install on W2K, NT, and 98)
Is it related a running JRE version?
Is it related to a dll running?
Are there other forces at work?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW, Solaris and Linux don't do any reboots (or
anything else nasty) during WS install.

I bought the social network movie. When the operating upgrade started I checked for backup first. It continued upgrade. I lost the movie and all music synced to the pad. Frogged gone too. Anable to get frogged again. I paid for these that are missing and

You have actually helped me with a decision that has been driving me crazy for the past week. I do not need nor do I want all or most of the above you mentioned. Heck I hardly use half of that stuff on my home computer or I-pad. I will definately stay with my basic phones that I can get calls, texts and take pictures. Thanks again.

When does my AppleCare agreement start?

If you buy an AppleCare agreement (from the online store) in the same order as, say, an iMac, but the computer doesn't ship right away, when does the agreement start? When the agreement is bought, or when the computer arrives and you register it?
I bought one of the new iMacs recently,, and I also bought an AppleCare agreement in the same order. But since the machine was said to ship in 2-3 weeks, but the agreement was completed immediately, does this mean my agreement is already running even though I don't have the computer yet? If so, I'm losing out, aren't I? Meaning, since I bought the computer and agreement on November 30, but the computer won't get here until maybe 3 weeks after that, am I wasting part of the agreement time (from Nov. 30 until whenever the computer arrives)?
Or does the term of the agreement not actually start until the computer gets here and I register it, even though I already paid for the agreement?
Am I making any sense here? :)

and register your product (or check if it is registered already). When you get to where the date of purchase is displayed, make sure it is indeed the shipping date. If it is not, contact Apple and inform them of the discrepancy.
As for the Apple care: your regular warranty is for one year with phone support for the first 90 days - the Apple care sort of runs concurrently because it covers any phone support for 3 years (technically, it adds 2 years to the original warranty) as well as hardware support of course.

Lots of Frustration. In some cases the LGG2 is rendered useless even as a phone.
Here is what I did.
Got replacement Phone.
Same problems but I shut down all apps that I purchased even though they worked before KitKat.
Found that If I have both WiFi and LTE Data on at the same time battery chewing stops. Do Not know why.
Then I got 2 CM free utilities. The Clean and Wash utilities. Run them and find the culprits grinding CPU
cycles and running down the battery. Number One is the Verizon Voice Mail service constantly turning on and off
and retrieving data not there. Turn of the extra Voice mail and use the old access with the *6. Unless you have
100 messages a day for business your hosed until this KitKat issue is fixed. Get the CM battery utility.
YOU can see the battery suckers and shut them down when not using automatically.
Start putting back one application at a time you used often and see it they work and if the utilities will tune them
down if they cause problems. The LG will get better but with some limitations.
LG and Verizon have a problem with what was a great phone.turned bad overnight.

One thing is for sure, and that is if the only page i visit is the Google homepage (not logged in) or this site (mozilla forum), the problem does not occur, ever. I can't make it happen.
If i visit yahoo.com (not logged in) (or ighome.com, logged in), as examples, it happens every time.

ITunes Plus Upgrade, Two Song Counts, Price Does Not Add Up

When I click on the iTunes Plus Upgrade in the iTunes store, I see two song counts. One is called Total Songs, the other is called Songs. The Total Songs number is higher than the Songs number. It appears that the Song number is what can be upgraded, the actual list of songs shown below matches.
But I'm not sure what the Total Songs number represents. It is lower than the total number of Protected AAC songs I have in my library.
So, does anyone know what the Total Song count represents?
Another confusing issue is that if I multiple the Songs count by $0.30 (which is the cost per song) that number is less than what the iTunes store says it will cost. I only have one video that can be upgraded, so that should only add another $0.30 to the total cost. But the total cost iTunes is showing is calculates to about 50% more songs that what it shows I can upgrade to.

I've done some comparisons of the File Info between my DRM-Protected 'Dark Side' and 'Animals' songs and the DRM-Free versions. It turns out there are differences which might explain the trouble Upgrade My Library has in recognizing eligible albums.
On 'Animals':

Notice the difference in the album art and, notably, the Copyright information. This is not the same song with only quality affected. Apparently, there was some copyright changes that took place, which might critically affect the eligibility of an album or songs.

Thanks for your answer. I'm working my way through the blog, and trying to take all of the steps. Hitman Pro did find 5 trojans, and many remnants of other malware, so hopefully that will help. I'll post again when I've finished trying everything else.
I had already run Malware Bytes, It did not find/remove the sweetim toolbar, but found a different trojan. Something is up with my antivirus I think.
