Already out. I'm responding on my iPad 4. However I was told as I bought one from a retailer that there is a delay on the 4G version. Doesn't worry me, I don't have any end for it. May be the same with the mini version.

It is a powerful machine. The harman/kardon speakers sound very nice and clear compared to their size (they dont give you bass of course) Wireless is perfect, no connection losses. It is not warming. 32 and a 64 bit version Vista.
Some probably negative comments:
- the position of the intake vent is at the bottom
- no S-video port (only VGA and HDMI) so I can not connect it to my CRT tv set :(
- battery time is not so long
- I hoped the keyboard has backlit, but I was wrong
- 25! Toshiba utility programs (come on! is it neccessary???)

When Does the iPod Touch Hit Tokyo?

This isn't a technical question, but I thought I'd try here. Does anyone know when the iPod Touch will be out in Tokyo? I visit the Apple Store a couple of times each week and as of today (Friday Sept. 28) the employees still can't give a date for release here. I WANT IT!! And I know that it has already been released in the States.
My problem is compounded due to the fact that my credit card is from a U.S. bank, so the online Japan Apple Store won't accept it. And the online U.S. Apple Store won't ship to Japan.
Any thoughts?

I called Apple Online Store to ask what was going on with ship time discrepancies and the guy I spoke to said: " There is an error in what the order status shows. 20,000 iPod Touches were shipped to customers in Japan YESTERDAY, so you should have yours in a couple of days". I asked what week model it would be. He said he didn't know. We talked about the problems in US/UK/ etc. being reported here, and he said he was not aware of them (which I found a little hard to believe).
I asked if the brick and mortar stores in Japan had iPod Touches yet and he said they didn't. So I asked why not, as 28th was the day Steve Jobs announced they would go on sale? He said he didn't know.
Anyway, I am now waiting to see if my status changes, so I can check the serial number before it arrives. If it doesn't, I will just have to wait a couple more days (?) to see whether I am going to be pleasantly surprised.........or not.

HT1476 How would I know when does the iPod touch completes charging?

Since the iPod touch doesn't display a battery percentage, how would I know when the charging is completed? In iOS 6 and earlier there would be a plugged-in icon meaning that the device is charged, but in iOS 7 there is only one icon that can mean both charging or charged.

Battery icons
The battery indicator icon in the upper-right corner of the screen shows battery charging status and about how much charge is left in the battery. When connected to a power source, a small lightning icon will appear next to the battery icon:
If the battery charge is very low, the device may display a black screen with an empty battery icon, indicating that the battery needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use the device. If the battery is extremely low on power, the device may display a black screen for up to two minutes before one of the low-battery images appears; continue to charge the unit for at least 30 minutes or until it is fully charged.
Yes I already saw this article before and this doesn't help ansewering my question. For iOS 6 and earlier, there would be a lightning icon in the battery when it's charging. If it's charged then there would be a plugged-in icon in the battery. However, the lightnight icon besides the battery in iOS 7 stays the same all the time as long as it's plugged into the charger. So I have no idea when does it finishes its charging, as it doesn't even show battery percentage like iPhone does.

Recently, I have been following when the iPod Touch 5G will be released in my local Apple Store, Futureshop and Bestbuy. I've been checking but I haven't seem to get the exact answer of when it will be released and available for purchase in stores. Does anyone have an idea or know when they will be released in stores?

I do not expect anyone here to know any better. If you asked the stores that is the best you can do.
