When doing a second "Organize Library" cuz the first was too big, will iTunes recognize what's already copied over?
I'm stuck with a large folder of music on my PC in My Music folder. And I used "Organize Library" in iTunes but it didn't copy everything over because the amount of music was too big. I've deleted the original copies of music outside of iTunes to open up more space and was wondering if I do a second "Organize Library" if it will recognize that some of the music has already been copied over.
I don't know what "restore the iPod" is
It's usually the second thing to do (after Reset) when the iPod is not working correctly.
Select the iPod in iTunes and click Restore.

what about my main question? Can I go back to "sync all" but manually block certain albums?
No because sync all is just that.
Sycning specific playlists should work fine. And you can create more than one and sync which ones you want.

Iphone 4s update stopped, then the backup was too big!
I was installing the latest update on my fiances iphone 4s. Then it stopped and I got some text saying the update wouldn't go. The phone was then locked with and I was prompted to connect it to itunes. Also hade a message about the simcard not being correct, that disappeared though. Well, the update was aborted. Can't remember the exact error message and I can't produce it again obviously. But what happened next was that I was prompted to connect it to itunes and restore it, there was this symbol on the screen with a wire going to itunes.
Now it's just telling me there isn't enough space to backup from the one I want. I know what folder it is in, the application, mobile sync, backup. That folder is more than 14 Gb.
I cannot be more specific I'm afraid… But I mean, the info is there, in that folder bigger than 14 Gb. I can access the pictures, look at every one of them… Frustrating…

I am trying to load my library on the new computer but it will not let me import. when i shut off the old computer the shared library disappears.
Yeah... that's exactly the way it is supposed to work. Sharing the library does not move it anywhere.
To move the library to the new computer, copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer. -

Please try following probable solutions if you are on Windows..
Launch Task Manager. In the Processes tab see if any of the following file is running:
PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe
Dynamiclinkmanager.exe
If any of these are running kill those. Now go to C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Elements 11 Organizer. Find PhotoshopElementsOrganizer file in this folder.
Double click on it. See if it launches Organizer. If it does then create a direct shortcut of this file on Desktop. To create a shortcut, right click on this file and select “Create Shortcut”. If it creates the shortcut in this folder only, then copy paste the shortcut on Desktop.
Right click on it (PhotoshopElementsOrganizer) and select “Run as Administrator”. If it does launches the Organizer then create a direct shortcut of this file on Desktop. To create a shortcut, right click on this file and select “Create Shortcut”. If it creates the shortcut in this folder only, then copy paste the shortcut on Desktop. You may need to always choose Run as Administrator from this newly shortcut.
Press Shift key. And double click on this file (PhotoshopElementsOrganizer). This will launch the Catalog Manager dialog. Create the new catalog and see if it launches the Organizer.
If you are on Mac..
1. Directly launch Organizer from the icon present in Applications folder. Don't launch it from Welcome Screen.
2. Press Shift key and launch Organizer from the Applications folder. This will launch the Catalog Manager dialog. Create the new catalog and see if it launches the Organizer.

I have photoshop CC. I cannot open two files such as Tiffs and view them side by side. When I open the second file it overrides the first. Do I need to do something with preferences?

You can setup photoshop cc to be like photoshop cs2 was on your other mac, by going to Photoshop>Preferences>Interface and unchecking

The easiest way would be to set up a seperate user account. That user would have their own iTunes with their own Library.

Does a second airport express extend the wireless signal from the first?
After a long search on his forum and not finding an answer, this is my question:
I have a Time Capsule connected to a Speedtouch router/modem. The Time Capsule has its own network. Because of the distances in my house, I use an Airport Express to extend the wireless range for my MBP. This doesn't seem to be enough to cover the whole distance (app. 35 meter) there is poor or no connection. So, my question is: can I use a second AE to extend the range even further? Will it pick up the signal from the first AE or do all the AE's in use need to connect with the Time Capsule?
The first AE is app. 12 meter from the TC.

The answer is yes and no.
No, if you are using the "extend a wireless network" feature because each AirPort Express communicates directly to the Time Capsule, not to another AirPort Express. It's like the hub and spokes on a wheel. The Time Capsule is the hub and the Express devices are at the ends of the spokes. The devices at the ends of the spokes communicate directly to the hub, not to another spoke.
Yes, if you are using the "WDS" feature because this type of setup allows a "main", "relay", and "remote" device to be configured. But, there is a big penalty with this type of system:
o The network will operate at "g" wireless speeds only
o The bandwidth on the network will drop 50% for each "relay" or "remote" device. So, with two devices, the first cuts half of the bandwidth. The second devices cuts half again. So, you are down to only 25% of the original bandwidth. -
Why does my mac say the file is too big to burn on DVD when it isn't?
I'm trying to burn a file on DVD. The file is 2.1 gigs, the DVD is supposed to be able to hold 4.7 gigs, but it keeps telling me the file is too big!
Anticipating a question: 2.1 gigs is the actual size according to "get info", not the size of the alias on my burn disk.
And, if this matters, I'm backing up a folder with four items inside. My Entourage "identity" folder.

How do i parse data from the second jframe back to the first?

I have a jFrame were I promt users to keep a list of Names in a jTable. (I keep data for something else, but lets say names.. ) Anyway, afterwords I want to add some extra parameters for each name. So I created a new frame, which is opened when user press an Edit button. The new frame opens and users can add for the specific name some extra data, like age, height, color, sex.. etc. that characterizes this person.
On this second form i have a save button, which when its pressed i would like to keep this information for this name, so as when user press edit again from the first frame on the same Name the data that previously entered will be loaded (lets say that the user can not enter the say name again)
I haven' t figured the code for the save Button, but with the rest I am fine.
Can you give any ideas with structures that I have to use and how the action listener will have to be??
When I set visible the new form i have made a constructor that loads the new form which have a label with the name of the person that is edited., but how do i parse data from the second form back to the first that is already opened??

So, I bought the iPod shuffle and when I plug it into my mac, the option of syncing doesn't appear. What do I do?
Does the Shuffle appear ini Tunes at all? If not try using a different USB port and double checking to make sure the other end of the syncing cable is firmly seated in the Shuffle.

I am running firefox4 on win XP. When I start firefox, it says it is trying to restore a previous session which has only the blank tab. After about 10 seconds the whole instance of firefox freezes - none of the buttons work and the only way to close firefox is to use the Ctrl+Alt+Del and task manager. If I open a second parallel sessionof firefox, it works normally, as long as the first session is left alone (frozen). What could be causing the freeze up of the first firefox instance, and how can it be prevented?
I've done some research on the SQLite database. Whenever Aperture hangs up (like during auto-stack or opening the filter hud) there are thousands of SQLite queries happening. These SQLite queries cause massive file I/O because the database is stored on the disk as 1kb pages. However, the OS is caching the database file; mine's only 12MB. I'm trying to track down some performance numbers for SQLite on osx but having trouble.
It's starting to look like most of the speed problems are in the libraries that Aperture uses instead of the actual Aperture code. Of course, that doesn't completely let the developers off the hook since they choose to use them in the first place.
Oh, and if anyone is curious, the database is completely open to queries using the command line sqlite3 tool. Here's the language reference http://www.sqlite.org/lang.html
