When downloading apps updates, none of the updates actually complete, they remain 'processing file' even when the down load looks complete. Any help?
This problem is happening when I run iTunes, regardless of whether any devices are connected.
And none of them can be deleted from the progress list either...

I have been asked several times if I want to redownload ML and answered yes, but nothing appears to happen and nothing installs. Somewhat surprisingly my internet service provider howevere has infrmed me I have exceeded my download limt today ( which suggests I have downloaded multiple copies of ML file, but I cannot find any evidence on my hard drive of where it has gone. Problem resolved itself. Turned out that I had ben unable to contact the App store to confirm purchase. Once this resolved itself program downloaded properly and installation went without a hitch.

i just updated my ipod 4g to ios 5.1 and i cant download apps a message pops up saying to type in password for caldav something something the thing is that i have no idea what my password is i never made an account for that so please help
Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup. -

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
Or If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partitirion & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk. -
I plugged my iphone in to my laptop to update it and the computer shut down right at the end. My phone now has the itunes symbol and an arrow asking me to plug my phone into itunes (I assume the laptop). It's frozen like that even when switched off. If I plug the connection into the laptop it's not recognising it now. HELP!

Assuming that you've got the relevant iOS version on the iPad, then you can change it from a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered to immediately via Settings > General > Restrictions > Require Password

Welcome to the Support Communities! If you are having trouble logging in to the App store on your iPad, I would first suggest you restart the device.
Then go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com), click “Manage your Apple ID,” and try to sign in with your Apple ID. If you are unable to sign in, follow the steps provided there to reset your Apple ID account password.
Then in the iTunes & App Store settings, sign out of your account, sign back in and try to purchase or redownload the app again.

My phone was doing that when I first got it, but try reseting it & see what happens. Maybe you dont have enough signal when downloading the apps.

When you get the new iPhone 5S they say it come with all the iWork apps for free install already. But if i restore from back-up from an old device which doesnt have any iWork apps would I still receive those iWork Apps?

Yes. The apps are not pre-installed, but rather you are prompted to download them the first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7:

My iPod shows that my battery is receiving energy and that it is "charging," but it doesn't actually charge. The battery never increases; it only decreases. Even when I have it physically plugged in and charging, it loses battery whenever I am using an APP or anything. I'm thinking that the chip that receives the energy is damaged or worn out. Is there anyway to fix it without going to the store? My USB chords is fine. It charges other iPods fine. I just restored my computer to the beginning and I did backup my files but when i tried to restore them i wouldn't work, then I tried to do it manually and the was an error. I really want my itunes files that I downloaded back can i redownload them?
If you are in the US then yes, you should be able to re-download them, as long as they are still in the store and you use the same iTunes account as your originally used to buy them : re-downloading
If you are not in the US then they cannot currently be re-downloaded. Have you not got a different backup of your purchases that you could try copying them back from ?
