When downloading from Itunes Im getting an error Required Disc not available

Im attempting to download a song from Itunes. Upon attempting to download I get an error. "Unable to download, the unable to locate required disc". This also comes up when I'm attempting to back up my Iphone 4. Any help with a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I too am getting the same error message. Along with "We Could not complete your itunes store request. The network connection was refused make sure your network settings are connected and your network connection is active"....im posting on this forum so how is my network not connected?
I am using the OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 on an iMac

One correction, from the icloud I was not able to listed to the entire song. So when you purchased the song if it wasn't downloaded to your library, chances are you have lost your opportunity to listen to it.

Hi, i had the same problem. Try to find the file "apple" or "itunes" don't know it anymore exactly. Ahm well you need to delet any information or just plug in your iphone into an other computer. important is that your iphone never has been pluged in this computer before. This was what i did, and it worked!

The weird thing is that I downloaded the film from iTunes and while it was downloading I was watching it with my kids on my IMac. Once it had finished downloading I went with them to the living room Tao carry on watching on our apple tv. The apple TV wouldn't play it and said I needed to authorise my Pc, then the IMac gave the message above and I haven't been able to play it since. All my other downloaded films play. I am running iTunes version 10.2.2. And my iMac is Running Snow Leopard OS 10.6.7. Anyone who can shed some light on this weird situation will have my upmost thanks

I have the same problem. Been trying to find some answers, but not a lot of info about this. It seems to happen only when:
- itunes library is stored remote (NAS or external HD)
- starting a movie/show before download has finished will make it fail next time you try to start
Hope this gets fixed soon.. it's making purchasing content via itunes a hassle

Disable your firewall and antivirus software, restart your iPad, quit iTunes, restart your computer and then try to update again.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

you may have inadvertantly purchased it from a non us itunes store section of itunes. go to expresslane.apple.com to get a refund and if you want to rent it again, on your computer itunes screen, scroll all the way to the bottom, and make sure the country indicator at the bottom right has the usa flag
