When downloading text, quotation marks, commas & apostrophes are rendered as gibberish. How can I cure this?

I use IBM Lotus Symphony as my default word processor. When I download materials as .txt, all apostrophes, quotation marks and hyphens are shown as gibberish> How do I get them to download and display normally?

I want to ask for more information. Do these files look ok in Firefox/Lotus/and another word processor? Where do you download them from and to?
If you have a problem with display of fonts in Firefox, you can try to change font setting in Tools menu, Options window, Content panel, fonts section.

Messages have stopped displaying correctly, or, in some case, at all. The messages have downloaded OK. Even messages which were displaying correctly earlier, now don't. It occurred after 'finger' problems - I tried to type something into Firefox but failed to change focus from Thunderbird to Firefox first and have obviously changed some setting. What can I do to restore normal behaviour?
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even deleting all references I can find to Thunderbird from the AppData folders in the users directory all to no avail.

Thank you for the suggestions. They did not cure the problem, but that is because I think now that there is no problem; Thunderbird is working normally. It appears to have had a temporary glitch and has corrupted 8 or 9 messages around the one I was viewing when I hit wrong keys. The corrupted messages seem to contain the headers of dozens of other messages, some quite old. Apart from those few messages, all others in the root inbox folder and in all sub-folders seem OK.

Add the corrected ones to your PS - PS contains only what was added to it - changes made are not applied to the PS - you have to re add the updated photos

It calls both the ipad and iphone when calling the associated email address for the ipad. However, when I call the iphone it does not call the IPAD.

If I want to move one column from one position to another (say S to T), the formula loses the colums that was moved, i.e. it doesn't recognize it has moved, rather sees it as deleted... How can I do this without distorting the formula?

Given what is delivered with iBooks Author, I'm afraid that we will not get such easy to use documents.
Searching infos in the iBooks Author documentation available on line is awfully cumbersome and a lot of embedded links are wrongly flagged this way. In the Help files they aren't links but underlined strings.
It seems that the tool used to generate the web pages was wrongly configured.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

Are you using the same apple ID and password?
it seems all is in order, but perhaps the password isn't valid.
if the reset didn't work, try signing out of iTunes and App Store, then back in.
have you tried going to App Store - purchased and tapping on the cloud icon for the apps you want? You will still be asked for your password.

Setesh, See if both computer has the same version of iTunes, if both are the same, then it is your PC, that has plug-ins which is in conflict it iTunes. ( normally it is the Antivirus or some plug-ins to beautify your screen)
If it is different, most likely the other PC has an older version of iTunes, so you should downgrade your iTunes to that older version, which your iPod interface well with.
Other probable causes,
you are using the USB 1.1 port at the front of your PC, and not the USB2,0 port at the back of your PC. so switch to the back.
Dont use any other USB devices, when you are syncing the iPod.
Dont use any USH Hub.

If his Gmail account is under the Gmail app and press the app until it wiggles then press the extra deleted. If this account is under the Apple email and then you can go to Settings, mail contacts calendars and then select the account and remove it.

See if any of the following fix it.
Try logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap 'Sign Out' on the popup and then log back in.
If that doesn't fix it then try closing the iTunes store app via the phone's multitasking bar and see if it works properly when you open the app : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag iTunes from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and the click the home button to close the taskbar.
A third thing to try is a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
