When entering a new event I select e-mail as the alert and my e-mail address. When I'm done the event shows a different e-mail that I can't delete How do I get rid of this?

When I enter an event I select e-mail for the alert and select my e-mail address from the drop down box. However, the event shows a different e-mail address than mine. I can't delete this wrong e-mail address from the event or from the drop down box. I do seem to get the alert in my e-mail, but don't know if the other e-mail is also getting my alerts. How can I resolve this? My wife has an iPad and syncs iCal through iCloud. Could this be causing the problem?

Quit iCal, open Address Book, and click on your card. Then select Address Book>Card>Make this My Card.
If that does not fix the problem, then delete and recreate your card, and once again make sure to designate it with "Make this My Card.

    Are you getting that anytime you visit a page? Or after you hit the 'refresh', 'back' or 'forward' button?
    This error is not usually an error telling you that anything is broken, it's warning you that you are re-doing something you have already done. The page that you are trying to re-access, or refresh was a page that was doing something. Maybe you told the page to search for something, or you were filling out a form, or perhaps doing something like adding something to a shopping cart. Firefox warns you in case it's something you really don't want to do again; for example, accidentally buying a second toaster, or re-sending a comment form.
    If you only were searching or navigating around a page, it's generally ok to press the 'Resend' button.
    This safety feature is not unique to firefox, I can't offhand think of a browser that doesn't have it (though the wording may vary).
    However, if you are getting it constantly, every page you visit, on every website, all the time, then it's a bug.

    There is no trash folder on an iPhone or any iOS device.
    Do you mean the trash folder for your email account?
    If so, try emptying it from a web browser on a computer.

    An application cannot be deleted, because it shows that it is open. How do I get rid of this? It will not allow it to be trashed.

    1) Click on the Apple icon - top left of your screen
    2) Select Force Quit
    3) When new window drops down, select the application in question
    4) Click on the Force Quit button on the bottom right of that window.

    Check your System Preferences to see what items you might have set to Startup when the computer is started.
    System Preferences > Users and Groups > Select your User Name > Click on Login Items > Select any item you do not want to startup automatically > click on the Minus sign in the bottom left corner.
    If the items that seem to open automatically are windows that you had open before shutting down the iMac or before selecting Restart those windows will open again when the computer starts.

    I was told to post this question on the Microsoft Word for Mac forum, but I have no idea how to get to that. After I delete a file, I can no longer access it, but the name and a dotted line outline (but not a picture of the actual document) remain. I want this gone, as it is fairly annoying to be able to see 100+ documents that should no longer exist on my computer.     You need to, you know, delete things to create some free space on your disk.
    That doesn't mean you have to discard any data:
    If you have data you haven't looked at in a long time and aren't likely to need regularly, you can burn it to CD or DVD or some other storage media and then delete it from your internal hard drive. You can still access it when needed, but it won't be taking up space on your hard drive.
    A better but more expensive option is to purchase an external hard drive (as large as you can afford, with a FireWire-800 interface for best performance) and move as much as you can onto it. Your entire iTunes library is often a good choice as it tends to be full of movies, TV shows, and music videos which - together - tend to add up to a lot of disk space. The only downside is that you will be able to access that media only when you have the external drive attached, but if you spend a lot of time at your desk or otherwise in one spot with your laptop, it's not much of a downside.
    You could also get a larger internal hard drive, of cours, but they're non-trivial to replace in recent Apple laptops.

    From what you're describing appears to be Activation Lock, a security measure provided by Apple that makes it harder for people to use a lost or stolen device.  You will need to enter the password for the Apple ID the device is prompting you for.
