When firefox is minimalized, it does not show the number of new emails in my inbox

Using Windows 7 on an HP Pavillion dv6-3225dx Entertainment PC

Thanks for the help. The only one which worked was Gmail Watcher which does not change the icon. But it provides similar functionality by creating a periodic message visible at the bottom left of the screen telling me how many unread emails are in my inbox.
The ones I tried which did NOT work were:
Gmail notifier by Kang;
Gmail Manager by Long
Gmail Checker by Nguyen; and
Gmail Favicon Notifier by Pendelton.

How do I remove an old phone number from my macbook imessage. My apple ID does not show the number anymore but I cannot remove it from the imessage accounts. Its driving me mad !

Can someone please help me to remove an iphone telephone number from my imessage application. I no longer have a phone which I registered on my apple ID as a second phone. I have been on my apple ID and it does not seem to be there but cannot remove it from imessage, which still has it as an option to connect to. I am concerned that someone else who inherite this old phone will see my messages if I accidentally enable it again. I have read and re-read various postings and tried all options given but no luck, the **** thing stays there.....

When Syncing my ipad, it does not show the business PO Box field from outlook which is the first line of the address

Hi, I was wondering if someone out there could help me.
I am trying to syncronise my outlook address book with my Ipad.
The actual sync does work but it is missing the field Business Address PO Box, and this is where the first part of the address is stored, so when I try to look up an address on my ipad part of it is missing.
However if I send the contact by email to my ipad as a internet format vCard it will import the whole address. However as I have 400+ contacts I really don't want to have to do it manually.

terminology is the issue here.
Whilst AOL have refered to these additional email accounts as identities basically forever, they are not identities, they are email accounts. So simply add it to Thunderbird as an existing email account (File menu ) New> existing mail account

Mail flag count does not match the number of flagged emails on iMac

I have seven emails noted in the "Flagged" category on my iMas (OsX) but my flagg oount shows "8". I have tried rebuidling, looking at support comments, etc. but nothing seems to work for the latest software update. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, There are a few more things that may help out (and please remember I'm only a novice at this too, but I'm trying to 'Pay it Forward')... 1) Try 'Synchronizing all Mail Accounts (it's an option in Mail under the pull down screen labeled 'Mailbox' (and remember, you will have to 'Restart' your Mac for the changes to take effect!) or try 2) Rebuilding your Mail account (probably an option of last resort) or 3) Go into Advanced options and delete any extraneous mailboxes you may have inadvertently created. (and Restart your Mac each time!) Good luck, have patience and write again if you have too.

When I open Firefox (after upgrade) it does not show right side vertical scroller bar. I have to take the mouse and physically expand the browser to get the scroller bar to show. (never had this problem in previoius versions of firefox)

When you have a new problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
This will open a window listing the site's cookies, which you can remove individually.
Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Does that help?

Click the arrow at the far right (outside) of the Folder field (i.e. not the one in the Folder field) in the "Edit This Bookmark" window to access the complete folder list.<br />
This full folder list also opens if you click the drop marker in the Folder field and click the "Choose..." item.<br />
If folders in the list aren't expanded then look for a possibly faint arrow icon to expand/open the folders.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. <br />
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

so when you hold the menu+select buttons it won't reset - show the apple logo?
If you can get the apple logo to show, then press the select and play buttons to put it into disk mode.
What happens when you connect it to the computer? Sometimes, you can see the ipod in disk management if you open itunes before connecting the ipod. Once itunes is open, select Edit/preferences. This will keep itunes busy so that you can read the ipod in disk managment.

Pop-out window does not show the video

I am having a video chat, but the pop-out window does not show the video when the main window is minimized. I have the latest version installed. The same problem happened once a few months ago (with the latest version installed).I searched online for quite a few days, but none of the solutions worked. Then one day the problem went away (mysteriously).

Report does not show the main section while calling from forms 6i

I am running report from report from forms 6i but is does not show the data in main section, where as the data in the header section is ok.
But when i run the same report independantly from report builder it show the both header and main section with relevent data.

I am installing snow leopard on a new drive unformatted but it does not show the disk to install it on.? do i need to format first with one partition?

I have installed a new drive on my mac book and more ram but the snow leopard install asks which to install the system on but then does not show the drive.
do I have to partition it and name it first. -- if so just one partition?

Do this:
Drive Preparation
1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
When formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Complete the OS X installation.
