Firefox opens fullscreen , I have no more toolbar , no way to get back to normal screen .

Note that the crashes article [[Firefox crashes - Troubleshoot, prevent and get help fixing crashes#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash |explains]] how to obtain Crash IDs even if Firefox will not start. If firefox does not start in safe mode however the problem is probably not related to hardware acceleration.
You could try starting in Windows Vista's safemode.

If that does not work and it is a startup crash maybe a clean install of Firefox will help, but please post back first with how you get on trying Firefox safemode and looking for crash IDs.

It what way is it acting? For example do you mean that you get messages suggesting you are running a trial? If so you need to license the software. For a subscription, sign in to Acrobat. For a purchased copy, enter the serial number.

Upgraded Firefox is hanging. When Firefox opens none of the bookmakrs are available immediately. They hang for a monent. When opening up a window in an application (i.e., email address search) the window hangs.

Unless the schedule it's running on is every single time I open Firefox (including closing it & reopening it right away), I don't think that's the case. Also, I don't have any of these issues on the PC I switched back to v3.6 on. That one runs smoothly whether I run Ccleaner, registry optimizers, clear the cache & history or whatever. I thought after you first gave me the answer of deleting the session files that they must've got corrupted during the upgrade, but it seems that v4 just doesn't do a good job of retaining or maintaining those files without getting them corrupt or something.
If this is not an issue with everyone & I'm having it on both my PCs, then v4 has an issue with something that I install on my PCs that, I guess, many others don't although I don't know what that could be and I use everything I install or have running. So, I'm just going back to what works without having to dismantle my config one prog at a time to try to find what v4 may be finicky about.
By the way, I did check & couldn't find any cleaners that run automatically on my PCs.

You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
(1) Page Info > Permissions tab
While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
(2) about:permissions
In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.

Couple thoughts:
(1) Does Firefox still seem to have an active window "somewhere" based on having a tile on the Windows 7 Task Bar?
If so, how did you try to maximize it?

(2) Does your home page use any Flash media?

If you want to test a neutral page first, make sure all Firefox windows are closed, then start up Firefox from the Start menu search box using:
firefox.exe "about:blank"
If that works normally, then it's something about your home page.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Yes, it doesn't work. I ran in safe mode. nothing changed. I uninstalled Mozilla firefox with only standard removal, no change. I finally uninstalled Mozilla with complete removal and reinstalled it, then it return to normal. Why does this happen? Thanks for your reply.

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I have the exact same problem, I think. I was on my iPad 3's home page swiping R-L to locate a certain icon when all of a sudden the screen appeared to get HUGE. uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Yahoo mail. Ever since then when I open certain emails the scroll bars jump back and forth and flash. This happens when I open my AT&T bill or something from Amazon for instance. A message appears at the bottom such as "Transferring data from mail.yimg.com", or "us.bc.yahoo.com". This doesn't happen when I use Safari.

Did you try to delete Pages' preferences file(s) in the folder your-user-name/Library/Preferences ?
There are one or more (depends on your OS X version) file like "com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist"
You can also repair permissions with Disk Utility in the folder Applications/Utilities.
Choose the hard drive were Pages is and click the button "Repair permissions".
Or you can re-install Pages.

Pressing the Home button twice does not show you what apps are running. It shows you what apps were recently used.
Download a free app from the App Store. Once it downloads, your other apps should work properly again.
