When firefox opens, it will not let me search, or check emails

When I start Mozilla Firefox, it will not let me check my emails, I cannot search, or any other items.

Can you please be more specific as to what your problem is? In what way does Firefox prevent you from doing these things? Do the pages refuse to load? Does it crash? Does it simply not respond? We need detailed information on exactly what you are trying to do if we are going to help you.
As a guess, I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Firefox opens but will not conduct any search or open a webpage

I can open up firefox but the browser will not respond. I type a search or a page in firefox but it does nothing. If I open a new tab and do the same, it still does nothing; not even the initiation of trying to load a page.
I cannot find anything on this on any help site and would really like to get back to using firebox.

I have tried entering Mozilla Firefox in safe mode and attempted to load webpages but nothing happened as before. I refreshed firefox and that solved the problem and i was able to launch webpages... BUT. once i closed the browser and had to use it again the same problem came up and i was no longer able to open webpages again, thus requiring me to refresh yet again. of course this is no conducive to do each and every time as i will lose all saved information, bookmarks, etc.
any further thoughts on what to attempt next would be greatly appreciated. I have used Firefox for more than 8 years and have never encountered this anomaly.

You can't merge Apple IDs.
And you also can't change the name of an iTS Apple ID to another one that ends in a me.com.

Reset your device: Press down on the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time and continue to hold them until the Silver Apple appears (no data will be lost). Once the Home screen comes back up, check to see if everything is working correctly now.

What are you using to search? You should be able to search any drive in from the Finder. If you're having trouble, try "EasyFind" from the App Store (free). You can search any volumes with it.

That file could be set as a Launch Agent or Daemon in your ~/Library or /Library, You could try to look for it or Safeboot your computer and then empty the trash. Firefox opens but will not maximize.

Out of nowhere Firefox will not maximize. The icon for it is at the bottom left on Windows 8, and I can hover over that icon and see a small version of a Firefox browser window, but I can't get it to open all the way or maximize so I can actually use it. Any suggestions are appreciated - thanks!

Occasionally the Firefox window will get off screen. Here are three different approaches to getting that window into view. One of them should work!
