When home page displays the Yahoo!sites icons display then promptly disappear.
When the Yahoo (Canada) main page displays or when returning from another page, the yahoo!sites icons display alongside the site descriptions and then quickly disappear. Seems rather strange. It does not happen in Internet Explorer. Is there a solution?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

This little box near the top right started showing up recently, and after a few times I realized I did want to change my home page to my most frequently used web page, so I followed the instructions and it works, but that @W#$ popup box continues to show up each and every time I start, every time I log out of the web page, and so on. When iam using firefox i selected google as my home page. But while opening another tab in the same window(ctrl+T), I am getting babylon search as home page for it. How can i get rid of this problem?

Any search toolbar and changes to search engines can take place by downloading and installing software; usually "free" software from the internet. Babylon can be downloaded and installed by itself or as a "ride-along" when installing/updating some software from the internet. Always look for an opportunity during the installation to un-check boxes that will install "ride-along" items that you do not want. Firefox installation does not include such "ride-along" items.

When I double click Firefox to open it, 3 Tabs automatically open. One is my home page but the other 2 are about plug ins being successfully installed. I want for only my home page to open. How do I make this stop?

my nephew lend me his iPad and I have wi-fi service @ home, I get the wi-fi icon on top of iPad, it's activated but when I open Safari to go online it ask me for the password which I have and type in. It tells me I have typed incorrect pw. What's wrong? I even called my internet server and they cant help! They're saying my nephew must have a block. When you go to Settings > WiFi and see your network name does it have a padlock icon to the right of the network name? If so it is a secured network with a password.
How did you connect to your network from the iPad? From Settings > Wifi? Was a network password requested? Was it accepted?
If you touch the ">" to the right of your network name what do you see for IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, and DNS? -

Just installed Firefox 9.0.1. When opening a new browser session, two tabs will open. One is my home page and the other is a Firefox welcome page. I just want my homepage to open. How do I achieve this? Thanks.

When I go to the iCloud site on my iPad2 I don't get the log on rather 3 prompts one of which is to install iCloud. iCloud is correctly installed. I was able to sign in in the past to get a pages document
You cannot use iCloud.com on a mobile device. It is meant to be accessed on a computer - not the iPad.
There is almost no reason at all why you need to access the account from the iPad since you can do everything on the iPad itself. If you update a Pages document on the iPad it syncs to the cloud automatically so that you can access it from your Mac using a web browser. If you revise the file on the Mac and upload it to your icloud.com account - the file appears with the revisions in the Pages app on the iPad. There is no need to download the file from icloud.com - it just appears in Pages automatically when you upload the file on the Mac. -

You can click on the TOP SITE ICON but none of the sites show up...only a black screen
I have the shortcuts on my browser to the sites that I go to frequently. It's when I press those buttons (which have always worked before and I checked their URLs) it takes me to the Yahoo Page not Found page. But then when I click the shortcut button again, it usually works.

I can't get it to set a blank home page, and the instructions given for this don't work.
The instructions say that if you want a blank home page, you should open a new tab, then click on the icon to the left of the space where the website name would be and drag it to the Home icon. Unfortunately, when I click on that icon, I can't grab and move it.

On getting into Monzilla since the update, I no longer get the home page I had. In fact the page is blank except for headerbar. When I clock on the Home button all I get is message 'URL is not valid' This means I cannot leave a website without logging out of my Firefox account.

There is a difference between remembering the name and password in the Password Manager and a "remember me" check box on a web page to log you in automatically.<br />
The latter usually involves the creation of a special "remember me" cookie that is stored on your computer and that is send to the server.<br />
If that "remember me" cookie is removed or gets corrupted or is not send to the server then the server won't remember you anymore and you need to sign in once again.<br />
