Also, when I delete a bookmark from a folder in my toolbar, the bookmark doesn't disappear in some folders. But when I look the folder up in my bookmarks that particular bookmark is deleted.

FF5: when I go to Bookmark menu, and select a folder of my bookmarks, the resultant pop-up menu stays in place, not allowing me to access another bookmark folder instead. Just started happening today after I updated to FF5.

My bookmark folder has a number of sub-folders in it. When I try to access a bookmark, and mistakenly hover over the wrong sub-folder, the resultant pop-out menu will not go away, so I can't access the proper sub-folder. I have to click outside the pop-out and start all over again.

Ok. Update. Ive been playing around with this a bit. So the first thing I tried was adding a bookmark directly to the toolbar and not to a folder. This worked. I can see the bookmark on the tool bar and in the toolbar folder under organize bookmarks. Now. I try to add a bookmark for the same page to a folder on the toolbar. This time it shows up under bookmarks toolbar/*subfolder in organize bookmarks. But it does not show up in that folder under the actual tool bar. Like I said in my last post. I do not have two "bookmark toolbar" folders. just one that I am aware of.

hello scarsman, i think by default all bookmarks are sorted by their creation date - however you can right-click each folder and choose to sort all currently available entries by name. in the bookmark library you can click on any column (name, tag, last visit date, visit count, date added, etc...) to sort them as you want...

I've LOST my "add to bookmarks" setting and cannot put additional items in my bookmarks

When I have an item that I want to bookmark, I press "Bookmarks" on my toolbar. The first item used to say
"add to bookmarks" Now it just lists my bookmark items
so I can't add any additional items to my bookmark pages

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.
You can see the difference if you use Alt+F or Alt+B to open the "File" and "Bookmarks" menu and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by pressing Alt or by pressing F10.
* "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
* "Bookmark This Page" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of that browser page.
* "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

The problem was that you migrated CS6. Unfortunately, migration doesn't work because it doesn't move all the files.
First, you'll need to use the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove the components that were installed:

When I add a bookmark to a folder, it is not visible, but it is there

I have this problem in my FIREFOX toolbar.
I have a very large set of bookmarks in a drop-down list under a folder called Daily. I have added a folder in that drop down list called Dollar, to keep the whole list short enough to fit in the window. I added four bookmarks to that Dollar folder successfully, but when I tried to add a fifth, it did not show up. I tried that three times. No luck. Then I clicked Open all in Tabs under the four. Seven tabs opened - the four I can see and the one I could not, three times.
When I look at that folder in Organize Bookmarks, I can see all seven, but not when I go there from my Bookmark toolbar.
How can I make the three invisible bookmarks visible?

If you use the 'bookmarks' menu you will get arrowheads pointing off to one side that show folders content.
Once the list has grown long you will also get very small arrowheads at the top and bottom of the list, which grey out sometimes, these will allow you to scroll up or down to see items that are otherwise off screen.

Note that it is always best to disconnect from Sync while performing maintenance to the places.sqlite file or otherwise do repairing efforts from within Firefox.

The funtionality I need is that I want finder to rename the files in folder when I drop a new file in. When I add the new file (file neame: "1") to a folder, I want to increment the other file names in the folder by 1.
So when I drop a my new "1" file into the folder, the file original file called "1" will be renamed "2", the original file named "2" will be renamed "3" etc
I'm creating a 'stream' of images. When I add a new image i want it to nudge the other images in the folder along.

When I add a bookmark, the notification popup doesn't go away

When I wish to add a Bookmark, I press the star button, a thin popup then appears with Bookmark Added | Options. The Options are Edit or Add to Home Screen. If I press Edit and then OK, a message confirms that the Bookmark has been edited and saved, but the original popup is still on-screen and can't be removed without killing Firefox from Task Manager. There is no x that I can press.
I am only running 3 Add-ons and disabling all of them has no effect.
How do I get rid of this very annoying popup?

Hi ee88, I get the same problem on Android 2.3.4 (HTC device). Apparently it's not a problem on Android 3 or higher.
The developers have fixed this for Firefox 26+, and are figuring out whether it can be fixed in time for Firefox 25. (I think it's likely because it is indeed extremely annoying.) When downloading is complete, I can not see, run, nor access the file; it only appears in the "Downloads" window (and not the specified folder) and the only options permitted are to delete it, or to go to the download web site; what's blocking it?

I have a similar problem when accessing .zip files that are attachments to my emails. Here, however, I can place the file in a designated folder, however, the .zip file and it's compressed content files are file-typed as "FireFox Document" and I get permissions errors when running an unzip tool.
Why are my download files being quarantined ??? Is there a security setting option I need to change???
To get around this, I'm using IE to download and install these files, but switching back & forth between FireFox & IE is a real pain.
