When i add an album thats on my computer...

the track listing gets all mixed up. on i tunes and on my Ipod
why is this? its driving me crazzzzzyy!
im using the "add folder to library" key on the file menu
then selecting my "desktop-full albums" folder

Sorry but your post is not clear... If you mean the track-listing for the albums you import is mixed up, then sort them by album - click on the album title bar. This will work if you've named the tracks using "Advanced-> Get CD Track Names. Otherwise they may be showing by song name - which is alphabetical. Or date imported, or artist...
Are you creating playlists for each album as you import them? In playlists you can drag the tracks into the order you prefer.
I'm sorry but my version of iTunes has no "desktop-full albums" folder, so I'm not sure what you mean there.

No.
How did you arrange the shots in iPhoto? In an album, manually?
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.

When I add a file already on my computer to the iTunes Library, why does it only copy over the first 30 characters of the title?

I noticed that when I tried importing songs to iTunes (unprotected) either via "Add File to Library" or "Automatically add to iTunes", only the first 30 characters of the song title is copied over to iTunes. Is there a way to change this? Is this a default setting?

Just a guess about something to look at - check the color settings in your After Effects project. If you increase the bit depth to 16 or 32 bits per channel and check your color management settings, you may have a better result. I'm a bit clueless about the various options under Color Settings, but maybe you will hit upon something that works.

I want to get rid of xmarks sync. It is the most obnoxious, intrusive add-on ever and crashes my internet connection several times a day. I have followed the instructions on your helpdesk, but nothing works. It never fully loaded and refuses to give up. I want it out of my life forever.

In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.

In Music, sometimes an album that has more than one artist, only one shows up, how do I get them all that are all on the album to play in sequence when I select that album?

I can't figure out why, on my ipod touch in Music, when I select some albums that have more than one artist, the whole album doesn't come up to play all together. This happens in some compilations, and only ne song shows up from each artist on the album. Or like on an artist's album that has someone else singing with her. I get that they are on the same line as an artist, but the album is an album, and when you play an album, the whole thing should play - right? Thanks for your help!

Generally all you need do is give tracks from the same album a common Album Artist. See Grouping tracks into albums. The images need an update but the basic info. still holds.

Can't add any album artwork

Hi. When I add any album to itunes, I can't add any artwork for the album after. I use EAC for the trasfer of the songs and when I import them to itunes, I copy the album cover from internet and paste it to the left corner square. Sometimes it works but as soon as I switch songs the artwork disappears. I tried to add it by going to get info and by selecting all songs and nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

What format are the tracks in? WAV won't take artwork. Anything else is likely to be a permissions problem - your account (or everyone) and SYSTEM need full access, files must not be read only..

There are possibility that the Album is Hidden in your Account so you will have to Unhide it by following the steps as mentioned in the link below and see if it works.

When i add a media to my timeline it playbacks shorter than it is

when i add a video to my timeline it shows as either empty on the timeline or shorter than what the actual length of the video

Your photos are actually all in the Camera Roll. The album you create only contain pointers to these pictures. Albums are like music playlists; when you delete a song from the playlist it doesn't delete the song from your music library. But when you delete a song from your music library it will also be deleted from any playlists that it may have been in as well.

For reasons known only to apple, the main sort priority now is the artist. ANd when you have a compilation album you end up with multiple 'albums' that are really one. You can right click on the songs and edit the info for each song, making the info right for all of them.....it may not be perfect but it works for me. (My music is all ripped from cd's and not downloaded from Apple)
In your case, you could mark each song as 'various artists' and then they'll all be under the same cover

I have successfully added a playlist or album to my phone but when I want to add another album/artist, the first album that was on there has all of a sudden disappeared. You can delete photos from individual albums but not from the camera roll. If you try to delete a photo from camera roll it will be deleted from all other albums ("locations") that contain the photo. This is because the actual photo is in the camera roll (the albums only contain links to the photo in camera roll, not the actual photo).

What version of iPhoto are you using? Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

when i add my own album cover it splits the songs up making it look like that the songs are from different albums...
it doesn't happen to all of the albums that i've added my own covers to...i make sure that all the TAG info is the same for everything with the exception of the song title. and blank all the other categories by checking the info boxes so that it will erase any info in any of the categories...
it'll show that like one track by itself then like 3 by their self then like 8 and back to one....and once i delete the album artwork it'll go back to looking like it's all from one album which it should.

I had a similar problem. This may sound dumb, but check the case (upper case / lower case) of every letter of the album name and make sure each song is EXACTLY the same (choose one song and do a copy paste to the rest). I don't know why adding album art causes the songs to appear to be from different albums, but once I matched the album name down to the case, I was fine.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?
