When I add music to iTunes how can I automatically get the latest songs I've downloaded onto my iPhone when I connect the wire?

I don't know how to do this so I have to currently add the music one by one which is time consuming, Thanks

Hi, next time you do connect your iPhone
CLick on name of iPhone under Devices left column in iTunes   (if no left column showing click on View -Menu Bar>>Show Sidebar)
IF you are adding songs one by one you may have it set to Manually Manage Music change that under Options from Summary Page
From Summary page for iPhone Sync Settings >>select Music   below Apple top center of iTunes window
Check   Sync Music    select Selected Albums, Artists, Genres and Playlists be sure to have Recents selected under playlists. This will assure that all new music added will sync to iPhone. even better you can always create a new playlist that you manage in iTunes to include only what you want from your iTunes library and have that playlist selected in sync settings for iPhone music.

Did you try shutting down the device? Resetting? Disabling iCloud? Disabling auto-update?
I'd find the problem that is keeping the download from proceeding and fix that so that the process can finish...sounds like it may be your connection or a server issue, in which case you may need to wait.

That's normal. A network drive won't mount by itself. You may want to add the drive to your login items and/or the login items of your boy's account.

Very clever. But unfortunately that doesn't seem to work in Tiger.
Then again, I stil presume that when you do that, a ile is still downloaded and appears somewhere on your hard drive. If you "save as" the file opened by preview, you probably still need to go back to the place where the file was saved and delete it.
Then again again, if Preview is peeking into a Word or Excel attachment, it may not actually be "downloading it" first?? Strange. If it was a jpg file attachment, on the other hand, it seems more likely that some sort of file would be downloaded to the hard drive as a result of that drag and drop of the paper clip.
I did find that drag and drop capability interesting, though. Even in Tiger.
Oh well. I have to start looking at scripts.
When I downloaded that Automator application that was supposed to "close all open applications", I was surprised that it didn't work. Says it works with TIger. ???

Was I supposed to import it into Automator as an "action" and save it as an Automator application and then open Automator and click "run" for that action each time I wanted to use it? Seams a bit cumbersome.

How do I add music from itunes to my project without getting an "add media failure" message?

Ive had a project I've been working on in Elements 11 for a while and it crashed whilst uploading more footage last night.
Since the crash, I've lost all sound on my music files and keep getting an error message when I try to reload the music files from itunes into project assets.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Why are there strange files in my music library when I add music to iTunes?

My music files were in the "My Music" folder on my laptop (Windows 7) just minding their own business. When I added them to iTunes, though, the program decided to vomit dozens and dozens of small files into the music folder to mix with my mp3 files. They're all titled with numbers and letters like code. If I delete them, they just come right back as soon as I open iTunes.
Here's what it looks like:
I really, really, really, really do NOT want to have to sift through hundreds of files to choose a song or mess with my Library (I'm still in the process of building it up).
Can someone please help me out here? This is one of the reasons I'm debating on whether I even want a new iPod. Obviously, there are so many things I love about Apple. But I've looked this up online and, judging from experience with Apple, I have the bad feeling that either 1. Nobody will answer this question or 2. Everyone will say "Just deal with it."

Those files should be being created in folders of the form:
<User's Music>\iTunes\Album Artwork\Cache|Download\<GUID>\<##>\<##>\<##>
The <GUID> in your case is 0CDB362F24AD473A...
If they are appearing anywhere else I would suspect a permissions problem. iTunes just spits them out where it can. Similar problems can sometimes cause it to drop files on the desktop.
Repair Permissions
Right-click on your main iTunes folder and click Properties, then go to the Security tab and click Advanced. If necessary grant your account and system full control to this folder, subfolders and files, then tick the option to replace permissions on child objects which will repair permissions throughout the library. This is the XP dialog but Windows 7 shouldn't be too different.
Once you've repaired the permissions search for all files of the form *.itc2 in the music folder and delete them, then start iTunes. iTunes will rebuild the artwork cache in the correct location as you scroll through your library.

Video podcasts suddenly regarded as music in iTunes: how can I fix this?

Hi everyone,
OK I've looked around for some time now, but the answer does not seem to be out there.
After a recent iTunes upgrade, all my video podcasts were treated by iTunes as music podcasts.
What I mean by that:
- TV icon is missing next to the file in iTunes
- Right click says "mark as played" instead of "mark as watched"
- Available Media Kinds are "Music, Podcast, iTunes U, Audiobook & Voice Memo" instead of "Music Video, TV Programe, Film, Podcast & iTunes U"
- "Part of gapless album" ticking box is not greyed
- Those files are absent from the "Video Playlists" on my iPod classic
However, video podcasts downloaded after the upgrade behave normally! See image below: first video podcast is fine, the others are not.
This is puzzling me because the old files all have "MPEG-4 video file" as "Kind" and "Podcast" as "Media Kind", just like the new ones.
Anyone knows what's wrong here? and how to fix it?

Ques: when I synch GB to Itunes, how can I make sure each song's volume...

My wife and I perform live. To make a fuller sound, I recorded a number of bass-and-drum-track songs that I can run off the Ipod into our PA system to play while we're performing. Each song sounds great, but I have a question: I've got the 'songs' in order on the Ipod, but I don't want their volumes to play differently from each other, you know, so I won't have to constantly monitor the Ipod output volume.
Thus, before I synch the GarageBand songs with the Ipod, is there a pretty foolproof way to ensure that each song is the same volume as the others? I'd sure appreciate any help on this...thanks.

Volume (or rather loudness) is a subjective measure. You can check the box in GB's prefs that makes sure all the songs are normalized - but then they all tend to be less loud. The best way is to make sure you have a good level in GB and use some mastering techniques like compression to max out the subjective loudness.

All the music in itunes has a little footprint beside it. My old phone - 3GS has all my music there and playing fine. But if I try to synch with itunes it says it will synch from itunes to iphone and so am worried I will lose all my music from iphone too.
