The Yahoo! Toolbar and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause that problem. They seem to invisibly extend downward over the top of the web page display area. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

You cannot convert an existing account, but you can set up your Yahoo account as IMAP in parallel to the existing POP account. See

If you are using someone else's WiFi they may have restrictions in place.
(cofee shop, etc..)
Have you tried connecting using at least more than one particular WiFi network ?
You might want to try googling for a bandwidth test site
verify you have reasonable throughput..
1 megabit up and 1 megabit down..

Do you have Logitech Gaming Software installed? If so, uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue.

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an ''Open with'' download window.
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.

No, that's not mirroring. As I said that's basic airplay. Mirroring is an entirely different function.
What model iPod do you have? Mirroring requires an iPod Touch 5th Generation.

The only versions you update to are 3.6.28 (which will be dropped from support in a few weeks) or Firefox 11. I'd recommend either 11, or at least start planning for it. Is there a specific reason you don't want to upgrade to 11, I can try to help.

IPhone apps used to appear in iPhone size on iPad. Since updating to iOS7.0, these apps are HUGE and unreadable. How can I display actual size in iOS 7.0?

My problem is that apps made specifically for iPhone used to display in regular iPhone size on the iPad which was fine --- it was workable. Thanks, I appreciate the help. I think this is one of the problems Apple is creating by changing the OS so often. I had fomer colleagues at [a major aerospace contractor] who told me that so many original files were ultimately lost because of the deadly change in the "Save As" operation that they are now afraid of every OS update. Apple has badly damaged their support base with that very prominent company (they won't update now until they've fully examined and understand changes in the pre-conditioned nature of OS computer functions), and they are a whole lot less enthaled with Mac-related equipment/software. Can't blame them, I too used orginal files that way (as easy-to-use templates), and lost some important files before I realized what was happening (to late to revert). Companies should not have to retrain employees each time an OS gets an update, it's can be very expensive several different ways. They learned a painful lesson with that one. And because I'm now retired and don't use multiple devices, I need iCloud like I need a hole in the head... but I'm told there's no way to keep Apple out of my computer. Fortunately, because of major problems when initially installing Mountain Lion, one hold-over of the hardware/software damage I experienced was that iCloud can no longer access my computer even though everything else is working fine again. That was the only "good luck" I had as a result of that expensive nightmare.

you can remove preferences files by navigating to the Preferences folder for your user as follows:
0) Quit ALL iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers)
1) from the Finder select the menu item "Go > Go To Folder…". This will bring up a dialog:
2) enter the path "~/Library/Preferences" (no double quotes)
3) find the files:
com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist
and move these to the trash. I would NOT empty until later.
4) restart Numbers

Settings>Store (or iTunes & App Stores if you are running iOS6)>Apple ID. Tap your son's ID and sign out. Sign in with your ID and password.
You shouldn't lose the music, but if you try to update any apps that you bought with the family ID, you will have to use that password that is linked with that ID in order to update.
Avoid downloading past purchased content with the old ID if you can since you will associate the iPad with the old ID for 90 days and you will lock yourself out of your own, new ID for that period of time. Read more about associated devices in iTunes here.

Have you ever created a user dictionary? You have to manually create one, AppleWorks won't do for you. The user dictionary & any other dictionaries belong in the AppleWorks Essentials folder which belongs in the AppleWorks 6 folder in Applications.
Deleting & reinstalling AppleWorks from the original disk will not delete your files unless you have saved them in the application folder. The Mac OS creates a separate Documents folder for your files & that is where the documents you created should be.
Unless all of your documents are AppleWorks 6 word processing documents, Pages alone is not sufficient. The iWork applications - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - can only open AppleWorks 6 presentation, word processing & spreadsheet documents, respectively. They will not open any other type of AppleWorks 6 files or any AppleWorks 5 or any version of ClarisWorks files.
