Remove all apps from multitasking bar. Double click Home button then tap and hold an icon and tap on little x on every app. Then reset. Hold down Home and Power button until Apple logo appears.

You are confused me. Phone got updates over network automatically. On crackberry forum a lot of people from different countries and with Different OS version, but with the same problem. Ios 5 when i answer a phone call, application audio overrides phone call

often an app i used earlier to play audio starts up again when i answer a phone call... It is not actively in use at the time the call comes in, just has to be one of the apps used recently. I have had to manually forcequit app to get it to stop plaing and overwhelming the phone call.
This happens on 3gs as well as 4s. Same ios level.

That sounds like a problem with the app it self. What app is it? However, it is possible a reset will fix that. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will not affect data in any way.

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

Often when making or receiving phone calls the other person can't hear me. Works on speaker phone, though.

This is so frustrating. Sometimes I can talk on the phone and other times the other person can't hear me. The mute button is not pressed. I have to go to speaker phone in order to communicate. How do I stop this from happening? It works some of the time!!

This may very well be an issue with the proximity sensor. Take it to an Apple Store; they'll be able to let you know for sure. But first, to rule out a software issue, try a reset: Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears.

WWe have tried the soft reset. As of now it only does it to one other phone number I call. The number is my husbands who is on Same plan. We thought maybe it was just something with the iPhone 6. The phones are only 3 months old.

Bring up Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen near the home button. Make sure the rotation lock is not locked. It is in the upper right corner of control center (a circular arrow around a padlock).

When you said you have no fax machines on your line, that does include computers directly connected to the phone line?
The reason that I ask is a computer with a dial-up modem (a non broadband modem) that can connect to your phone line, can have software that makes the computer act as a fax machine.

YOU can't fix it. But you can bring it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement for $199.

Is the phone in a case? Try taking it out of the case. If that doesn't work, then your proximity sensor is broken. You'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.
