When I attempt to make a purchase, I am prompted to sign in to my apple account, despite the fact I already am, and then when I select buy, the same promt appears. I do hope that I am not being charged for the multiple attempts
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then see if this user tip helps : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4551
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then try Apple ID Account Security

I changed my billing address entering the original address used when creating the Apple ID, and it went fine for me. Try it if you have changed your billing address from the original address used to open the Apple ID.
Previously my IPHONE was giving me strange messages about ID confirmation when downloading stuff, but it still was downloading after all. After reading the suggestions related to change the address to the exact info as the credit card, it just clicked me. I'd removed my credit card about two years ago. When I try to make a purchase at the App Store or iBook store or at iTunes an error message tells me my account is not valid for the UK store. I've no idea how I got connected there and I'd like help getting back to Canada where I live. Any suggestions?

1. Tap "Settings"
2. Tap "iTunes & App Stores"
3.Tap "View Apple ID"
4. Enter your user name and password.
5. Tap "Country/Region."
6. Tap "Change Country/Region"
7. Select the region where you are located.

ive changed my security questions but when I try to make a purchase it still asks me to enter my old questions.. Why is that ?
The new questions show on your account on http://appleid.apple.com ? If they do then try logging out and back into your account on your phone (assuming that is where you are trying to purchase from) and see if the new questions then show on it.

Does anyone know how to eliminate a mistaken apple ID that you still use as an email
but for some reason, now when I go to make a purchase at ITunes, it brings up this email
as my apple ID instead of my actual Id and it will not take the current password I have for

From the menu bar click Store / View My Account
Click the Edit button next to: Edit Payment Information
You can edit your billing information there. -
Two days ago I changed my apple id. Itunes recognizes my new apple id when I access itunes via the computer. when I try to make a purchase or update my apps on my iphone, it asks to give the password to the old apple id. How do i change it on my iphone?
Apps and music are forever tied to the Apple ID under which they were purchased. If you don't want to continue to get that message, delete the apps and purchase them again with your new Apple ID.

I have redeemed my iTunes giftcard (which was accepted without verification; it only needed my password)
However when I tried to make a purchase, I am required to verify my identity, and thus I cannot use the giftcard which I HAVE REDEEMED. Is there any way I can un-redeem it? I am currently trying to enter all of the possibilities for my questions, and my iPad is new, so the serial number is not registered with my account. That refers to the 3 digit security code on the back of your credt card, not a security code for the iPad.
