When I backup Thunderbird using Mozbackup, does this automatically backup my Lightning calendar events too?
Although I have not yet needed to restore either Thunderbird or Lightning, Mozbackup does not specifically ask for events to be included. Does this mean that there is no way of backing up events created in Lightning?
I do not use mozbackup, but rename one of the backups as ZIP from it's original extension. They are simply zip files.
Open the file and check if the calendar-data folder is included in the file.

No, that only means, that your raw format has a better compression. Converting to TIFF will not add any better resolution. Not the file size does count for better prints, but the pixel size - the width and height of the photo in pixels. -

Changing your account id doesn't change your password. If you want to change your password then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, or you can change it by logging into http://appleid.apple.com

it means your HD and the software can't find each other, the following article tells how to troubleshoot this issue:

hopefully you have backup of your data since sometimes this means the HD is crashing.

Trying to burn data on a CD-R disk, but then I get a window that says, "Burning failed" , and that one of the volumes on the disc is still in use", so what does this mean? Not sure what they mean by volume still in use, this apparentely is keeping me from burning info such a pictures and or video's, how can I fix this?

You have a disc inside your optical drive.

I use BT yahoo mail with Thunderbird 24.6.0 in the last few days i've started getting this message when sending messages:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Too many messages. Please check the message and try again.
Now sometimes the messages are sent anyway and sometimes not. If I re-send sometimes it works and sometimes not. I've contacted BT 'tech support' who tell me there is nothing wrong with them or their servers and as webmail works ok they won't help. I strongly suspect it IS a BT issue, Any clues to fix this?The message means BT are lying basically. I have just spent the best part of an hour on chasing what limits BT place on mail sending... the internet contains a void.
The closest thing I can locate is a BT rep here https://community.bt.com/t5/Email/E-Mail-message-limit/m-p/1045228/highlight/true#M17523 refusing to identify what limits they impose but advising their switch to critical path has more stringent controls. AFAIK Critical path is ca mail software solution sold by OpenWave Messaging http://owmessaging.com/

My iMac is set up wireless. Everytime it's allowed to go in sleep mode, it loses wireless connectivity. Then, when I wake it up, I must go to System preferences, Network, and request it to reconnect to my home wireless network. It always does this successfully, but it's quite annoying that it seems unable to achieve this on it's own. My iPad 2 and kindle can do this, why not my iMac?
This appears to be a known issue, there are a couple of things both of you should do, first file a bug report in www.apple.com/feedback.
The next thing is more a work around than a fix. Instead of putting your computer to sleep just put the display to sleep. You will find this in System Preferences - Energy Saver. Set the computer sleep to Never and then set the display sleep to what ever time you prefer. -
Using AppleScript To Pull Data From Number & Create Calendar Events
Today I tried running an AppleScript that I created a few years back that works with Number ’09 [version 2.3 (554)]. The script collects information from the active numbers table and creats an event in my calendar for each row of data in the table. For some reason its not working with the current version of number.

BrianThe error ocurs right after it speaks the table name? The error is highlighting the suspect line in the first screenshot.
I think the "T" in the error is coming from the Table name, so try replacing the line in question with this mess

It's a little unclear to me where the 'get document' info comes from, since you are not telling Numbers within that part. -
This causes my photos to not show up in my events. I have to click "Show Event" myself. How do I set it to automatically put the photos into events? Also, once I DO get the pictures into events, then appear at the top, so I have to drag it all the way to the bottom of the events. How do I also set it to put the newest events at the bottom? Sorry if this is confusing....
All photo imported into iPhoto automatically go into a new event. If the photos are coming from a folder on your hard drive or other drive the Event name will be then same as the folder name. Otherwise the event will be titled Untitled Event.
The location of the new event within the other events will be determined by the EXIF dates of the photos being imported and how you have event sorting setup in iPhoto (View ➙ Sort Photos menu option).

I have tried to uninstall verion 3.6 and reinstall. Also, I re-imaged the workstation, but it still does not work. The OS is Windows 7 32-bit. This same process works automatically on an XP workstation. In fact, the machine I re-imaged was an XP box, but it did not work on this particular machine. Hence, the reason for the new image.
I am exporting the file from TxEIS (in the Firefox web browser) and it does not download properly. Acccording to Firefox documentation, it is supposed to automatically recognize the file extension. I have not experienced this on any other machine within our environment. Other users are performing this same process with no problems. The browers settings are exactly the same as the machines that are working right.

I am getting a blinking folder with question mark when I boot my computer, what does this mean?
This morning when I turned on my laptop, it made a weird ticking noise and now all I can get is a blinking icon that looks like a manilla folder with a question mark.
That folder with the question mark icon means that the MacBook can't find the boot directory. That can either mean it can't find the hard drive or the Operating System data on the hard drive is somehow corrupted.
With 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6 put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
Or if you are running 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion or 10.9 Mavericks, boot from the recovery partition (Command +R on boot) and use Disk Utility to repair your OS 10.7, 10.8 or 10.9 partition.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions. After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive.
If your hard drive isn’t recognized in Disk Utility then your hard drive is probably dead. -

Hi John, thanks a lot, I see that. It actually answers another question I have. I already had that box checked, but I never knew that dialogue box was there. Anyway, my MOTU midi express 128 is dimmed and all 8 midi channel lights are on which has never happened before so there must be something wrong with my midi setup now. sheesh! This helps a lot! It is probably because you are not properly closing Firefox. Restarting your system would make sure that Firefox had terminated, but you do not have to do that.
To properly close Firefox on Windows systems, use
:File > Exit or "Firefox:" button > Exit
When you get the message "Firefox is already running" it is too late, and you must force termination of Firefox through the Windows Task Manager before restarting Firefox. Windows 7 has a keyboard shortcut to save you a step "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" then on "Processes" tab, select "firefox.exe" and use the "End Process" button. More thorough would be to right-click on the "firefox.exec" and choose "End Process Tree".
You would find firefox.exe in a Mozilla folder in your program files, but y0u would not want to delete it there, you would need to use the Control Panel which you have already identified and do it from there -- but generally you would not need to do that, and there is nothing in what you have posted to indicate that you should. But if you did do that, then don't let the install start Firefox for you as you would want to use you existing desktop icon or method of starting Firefox, and should decline having Firefox install start Firefox for you. When the install starts then invoke Firefox in your normal manner. This should eliminate problems of creating a new profile rather than using your old profile.
