When I buy books for my bookshelf they appear both on my ipad and my iphone. I make hightlights in the ipad version and I assume the gook with highlights is stored in the cloud. But the iphone version doesn't have the hightlights. Should it?
I am concerned that if I update my ipad to OS7 I may lose all the highlights in the books in my ipad bookshelp. I teach from these books and depend on my highlights. Is ther a version of each book in the cloud with thehightlights intact in case I lose them on the ipad?
In the iBooks application on the Mac, there is a checkbox to sync highlights and notes across devices.
I don't see a similar setting in the iBooks app on my iPad. It may require iBooks on the Mac as a mediator.

Yes, iBooks includes built-in Highlight and Note features. Highlight any word or passage of text within a book. You can also create a Note from your highlighted selection. Review your Highlights and Notes by tapping the Table of Contents button and then tapping Bookmarks. Highlights and Notes appear in their own section under Bookmarks.

You have two activations and can use it on two systems. iPad apps are separate and don't count.

After a certain date, any folder that I create is now appearing at the bottom of my folder list. The second section of folders is alphabatized, but they appear at the end of the previous folders that are alphabatized. Anyone else experience this?

When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS7, I lost all my app icons. Where did they go? Interestingly they are still listed in notifications and I could play words with friends when I got a message on the home screen that it was my turn (but still no icon)

My new iphone 5s doesn't have any volume when I call someone. I can see from the screen that it is calling them, but I cannot hear anything. Also when they answer my call, I cannot hear them.
Turn the volume up... in call volume and sounds (ring, notifications, etc) are seperate volume controls.

I am not doing it in ITunes, but i did down load the song from ITunes. I loaded the song on to my Nano, but in my menu selections it doesn't show the song or the artist in any search format. However, when i plug in my nano to my PC I see the Nano library on my PC drive listings and that song and artist are there. I can click on the song and it will play in Windows media on my work PC. I did notice that the format for most all the songs in my library on my Nano are MPEG - 4 audio Files.

when I download software updates why do they appear on the desktop (and in devices) and not get saved to the HD (I click install to HD but they don't go there)
Double-click the white Adobe Reader Icon to open a new windows.
Double-Click the "Adobe Reader X Installer.pkg" file inside.
If it has already been installed it will notify you and say that it has been installed already.
If you no longer have those files go here to get the latest version of Adobe Reader.

It sounds to me from researching the other white 'icon' you have that you are trying to install a copier by the brand of Rico Aficio.
Possibly the Aficio 2090/2105.
If so the install CD/Driver download for that copier must have also wanted you to install Adobe Reader to view the User Guides/ Documentation included.
If you are trying to install said device then double click the white icon labeled Ricoh_Aficio...double click the installer file inside of that.
It should run a setup/install window like Adobe Reader did then go from there. If it has already been install also you can go to your System Preferences -> Printers to see if it installed correctly and is working properly.
You can get to system preferences by clicking the Apple icon very upper left on your screen and selecting it from the drop down. -

I started update connected to my work computer....it started update and now it is asking me to connect to Itunes, which I have but my work computer doesn't have my Iphone information, it says I have the latest software, my only option is to "restore phone" which I don't want to do here at work as none of my apps or music are showing up ..... If it is a PowerBook G4 with a PC Card slot, you have two possibilities. You could buy a USB card reader for SD, or a PC Card adapter (such as SanDisk's 6-in-1adapter). Please note that you are or may be limited to plain SD (that is, not SDHC) unless otherwise noted. For a USB reader, make sure that it has Mac support. BTW, is an SD card absolutely necessary for the firmware update; is there not a way of updating via cable? If you post back with the camera model, someone may be able to provide additional information.

Not sure what behavior you are exactly looking for, to move the clip and have it stop and the next clip in the direction of travel, drag the clip with the mouse with Snapping turned on in the timeline.
