When I call out which number do they see?

I have an online number for my german friends w/o skype to call me.
If I call them from my online number on skype, will they see my german Online Number in their caller ID when I call them?

German Online Number can unfortunately not be used as caller ID. You can set your mobile number as caller ID, but an Online Number can be used only in some countries.

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

I just got my iphone and everything seems to work until i try to call someone. They cant hear me. When i face time the mic works and the speaker works for the voice memo but it doesnt work when i call out. i tried resetting should i try restoring?

My Online Number Does Note Display When I Call Out...

I have been told by people I call that their phones do not display my online #. They see Unknown Number or Number Available or Another # I do not recognize.
This is a new problem for me. I have had the same online # for over a year.
Thoughts?

This so full of BS on Skypes part, I have to constantly come to my settings on this web site to reinactivate caller ID, it is the only place to do it, there is no setting on the app itself. First, why is the setting not being saved? Who is turning it off? Why do I have to go this website to activate it and same with the voicemail message greeding? Should be done via app!

DLL Wrapper works when functions called out of main(), not from elsewhere?

I am currently trying the JSAsio wrapper out ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/jsasio )
Support on this project is nearly unexisting and a lot of people seem to complain that it doesn't work well.
It works very nicely here, I wrote a few test classes which called some functions (like playing a sound or recording it) and had no problems whatsoever.
These test classes were all static functions and ran straight out of the main() method and printed some results to the console.

Then I tried to implement these test classes into my swing-based applications. So I want to call these same functions, as in the test classes, as a result of any user action (for example, selecting the asio driver in a combobox) But then these asio driver functions just stop to work. I get errors saying that the ASIO driver is not available. (meaning that the dll wrapper loads the wrong asio driver or can't load one at all)
The library path and classpath are all set correctly, exactly the same as the test classes. Even copied the test code word for word in to my swing applications but it still will not work. I am calling these functions in a new Thread, and even put them in a static methods to try and get that working. When calling these asio methods from the main() method AFTER I set up my components gives me the desired results as well. But as soon as I call these same methods (which are in the same class) from a swing event, it fails;

For what reasons can an application which uses JNI functions go wrong when working in a swing enviroment? (and out of a static context, although this does not seem to make any difference, eg. when calling these functions from static methods inside another class, inside a new thread when the user has generated an event)
I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction :-)

Well, I am running the "updated" version from the same environment; I copied the jframe, and a jcombobox into my original test class which only ran in the java console. Consider my second code example in my original post as the "updated" version of the first code example. And as I pointed out, it works fine when I call the jni functions in the main method, but not when I call it from inside the ActionListener.
Or am I again missing something essential by what you mean with a different environment? The classpath and the working directory is exactly the same, as is the Djava.library.path option. :-)

Nokia N95 8gb cannot hear anything when I call out...

When making calls to other mobiles I cannot hear the ringing or the other person but they can hear me. This is very frustrating and costs me a lot of money because it takes four calls to get it to work correctly.
I have tried switching to loud speaker and that does not work. I have the latest software.
There is no noise at all, no ringing, no talking from the other side. The person on the other side can definately hear me though.
It is weird because it works fine on the third or fourth try.
Please help, I dont want to send my phone away to be repaired unless necessary.

you might want to try the following 1st...
re-start your phone, just turn it off and turn it on again
if that doesnt help then you can try this more drastic measure, but 1st make a backup of your phone's content by going to the memory card and make backup and/or use Nokia PC suite to make a backup, then try the Soft Reset or Hard-Reset: Remember to backup specially for hard-reset, all your phone's content will be erased.
FOR SOFT-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7780#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
FOR HARD-RESET:
- at Standby Screen type-in => *#7370#
It will ask for “Restore all phone settings-phone’ll restart….”
Then it asks for security code enter factory default => 12345
if this doesnt help contact Nokia Care Point-> http://europe.nokia.com/A4388379
if you are not comfortable with the hard-reset and it is easy for you to go to the nearest Nokia Care Point, then just go there for help...

Why is it when I called a 800 Number it used up my Anytime minutes?

Your anytime minutes are for calls using the cellular network. They have nothing to do with what number you call. Every number you call is applied to your anytime minutes - 800 numbers included.
800 numbers are are free in respect to the long distance charges. From a land line, they would be free. This has nothing to do with cell phone charges. Cell phone airtime is for time spent on the cellular network.

How do I change the name appearing on caller ID when I call out?

As a part of a family plan, the account owner's name shows up on my outgoing calls. How do I change this so that it correctly states my name as the caller?

I just got to it in about three seconds. As noted in the link I provided, I logged in as Account Owner. In the 'I Want To" box on the left-hand side, I typed 'share' and before I could type 'name ID', the box populated with several choices in blue below the box, including Share Name ID. I clicked on the blue Share Name ID; at the top of the page you choose the line you want to change and then make the necessary changes; click Submit at the bottom.

Have you enabled your Online Number to be used as your Caller ID? It is not done automatically. You should be able to do it through the program on a computer, or log into your account here on the Skype web site (use the "Account" link at the top of the page) and verify your Caller ID settings. Keep in mind that Caller ID may not be passed along to the phones you call, even if you have your Caller ID settings using your Online Number (again, assuming it is a US number or from a country where the number can be used this way). Online Numbers that can be used as Caller ID should be available as options you can select there. For example, numbers in the US and UK can be used for Caller ID, but numbers from Australia and Mexico can't.
Are you calling toll-free numbers with your Skype account? If so, the Caller ID settings may be irrelevant. When calling normal phone numbers, Caller ID information is generally passed to the number you call. For toll-free numbers, another number called ANI is passed along. For Skype calls, the ANI number is where the call is patched into the US telephone network. Most of the calls to US numbers are patched into the telephone network either at the 661 area code in the Los Angeles area, or at the 559 area code around Fresno in central California. When calling toll-free numbers, there is no way to force the number you call to see your Caller ID number. This also means that toll-free numbers that do not accept calls from those two California area codes may not be accessible with Skype. Some toll-free numbers limit where they will accept calls from, down to one state or even one area code.

Hi I recently updated my 4s to iOS 7.1, everything works fine but when i decied to try and make a phone call i realized the calls connects but when I try to speak I get no feedback (no one answer) I thought that was a fluke well tried one more time samething, the thing is that i get no feedback when i call out, i say well i guess this **** is fuckd up not worrying cause i have another one and i just have to replace the logic board and put it on the most recent 4s i have,
Guess what? SAME ISSUE this can not be a HARDWARE issue cause I placed the 2nd logicboard (the one i dont use) on the case of my iphone and it is working so that means has to so something with software I called the Customer Care, their answer is for just 199$ they will replace my phone so nice they are so considered.

You wouldnt believe it, i have exactly the same issue and it happened as of last sunday day after you posted this. I have tried all the fixes on the internet and they all dont help. The only places i seem to hear people on calls is when i use Viber or tango etc. Looks like its straigh to Apple

I'm sorry, there is no way to change that. It is a change with the newer iOS 7. You can provide feedback to Apple, like a large group of others have that are disappointed in this at www.apple.com/feedback and click on the appropriate link.

"phone in use" when calling out

Macbook Pro late 2013 and Yosemite. I notice when I am docked with my 27" Apple Display (2014), undock so I can take my laptop and reconnect my display later that I can not receive a call. The iPhone and iPad ring. When I call out I get a message that the phone is in use. My work around has been to restart the Macbook Pro when I reconnect the display. My thought was maybe it had something to do with the IP addresses of both the wired and wireless LAN creating havoc. Has anyone else experienced this?
