Has it ever worked? Hold volume down (-) while pressing power button. That takes you to BIOS (CMOS setup). Follow the menus for Windows reinstall.

I locked my Iphone 4s screen and it randomly wont turn on. you can hear all the sounds but wont work.

The lock button is broken so i cant do the home button and lock button trick... Itunes asks for 'trust' when i connect to itunes but i cant allow trust if the screen does work... Ive been told to restore the phone but itunes wont let me. The phone isnt recognized by the computer either... I have no way to get to the apple store for help. ive tried charging mine too. the only recommendation i can give is to allow the phone to completely die, and not being able to access any apps or anything to kill the battery makes it a long, boring process that could take up to 2-3 days (depending on the battery life of YOUR phone). im in the same situation, but my phone did flicker to life for 20 minutes or so, but then went back to the screen being a jerk. the only reason im continuing to put my phone on the charger is to assure that it syncs with my icloud so i can just get this piece replaced simply and easily.

There may be a defect in the phone. As you bought it in the US the only place you can get it looked at is in the US.
When you say you bought it new, unlocked did you buy it directly from an Apple store? If you did not it was hacked to unlock it, which could also be your problem. Apple stores are the only place in the US that sells legitimately unlocked iPhones.

How can I change the display name when I call someone?

I recently gave a re-provisioned 8300 to a new employee. I wiped out the phone, and re-setup the phone in our exchange server to match the new user's settings.
The only problem he's having is that when he calls someone, the display name shows the previous users name as the person calling.
How do I change that?

You don't say what model the device is, but if GSM, make sure the SIM card has not been edited to the preview name.
Options > Advanced > SIM card > Menu > Edit Sim Phone Number

Technically the limit of 4Gb per folder should have been removed in a recent patch. Personally I an unconvinced as the developers have said so twice before and something else arose to bite people at 4Gb. So the limit probably does not exist anymore and moving mail and compacting will fix it without data loss if it occurs as recent issues have been about displaying mail after the 4Gb point, not storing it.
Use the Ctrl and Shift keys in conjunction with your mouse to make multiple selections.

Holding the Ctrl key while clicking allows you to select or deselect mail to either fine turn the list from shift clicking or to make one of your own.
Ctrl +A selects everything in the list from the current selection to the end.
One option is create an important folder and move your important stuff to it then ctrl +A the whole remaining inbox.

Try turning down the speak volume (System Preferences->Sound->Output->Output Volume) or the microphone gain (System Preferences->Sound->Input->Input Volume). Do this on both sides of the call.

Your iPhone can take multiple calls. If you answer your phone from one person or call someone and another call comes into you, you will hear a beep and if you pull your phone away from your ear, you will see that you can hang up the call with the 1st person or answer the 2nd call and then swap between the two.
I have no idea what you mean by you calling someone who is already talking to someone. I've never been able to see on my iPhone that someone I'm calling is already talking to someone else.
