When I change albums on my Porta website Firefox does not refresh the site although other browsers do.

I have a Porta website using 'simple viewer' and when I update the albums it usually is fine, but today I changed the content in 2 albums and although they are updated on other browsers, the changes are not showing in my Firefox. I have deleted history etc. in case that was causing a delay in the browser refreshing, but it has made no difference. Does anyone have any ideas please?

I also add the Map operations to the output of History Preserving and manage each stream of the Insert/Update/deletes separately and control the record start/effective & record end/Expiry dates with more variables based on the stream req, ie updates to end previous record have record end date set to variable for business or run date set to date - 1.
You only need key gen for inserts (including the deleted record final state)
Use merge to bring back together.

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).

If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
CS7 = CC v9
CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

When I try to click on a download link for a .pdf file Firefox does not recognize the MIME type and tries to download the file as "index.php"

When visiting a site I frequent I tried to download a linked .pdf file. Previously I've used Firefox 7.0.1 to download the link with no problem. Using Firefox 8 however I the browser does not recognize the .pdf link's mime type. Instead of recognizing the download link as a .pdf file Firefox 8 tries to download it as "index.php". Firefox 8 does this with .doc files and .txt files as well. When I downgrade to 7.0.1 again the problem disappears.

I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

When typing or clicking to open pages firefox does not show the text or that it has changed to the other page. Unless i minimize and then maximise the window. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

The browser seems to be lagging and stuck on the original page until moved around the screen or minimised or maximised.

I have the latest edition of directx, graphics card and sound drivers are all up to date according to the laptop manufactor's website.
Reinstalled and uninstalled around 3 times. Thought it could be a registery problem so before i installed it the final time i ran c cleaner.
Ran adaware and superanti spyware to see if spyware was a problem

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Firefox does not autofill the userid & password when i go to websites after upgrade to 6.0.2

i used to be able to type the first letter of a userid or double click on the userid field and firefox would show all my userid options and then autofill the password. when i upgraded to 6.0.2 it wouldnt do it anymore. i double checked and all my userid and passwords are still saved in the options>password area in firefox. i typed in my userid and passwork for the site and now that is the only one that will pull up when i go to the site. why wont this function work the way it used to? Also, when i paste the troubleshooting information, i get a warning that there are too many characters. Why ask that it be posted if it cant handle the info? maybe i have too much goin on in the troubleshooting information...feel free to comment on that (i deleted a BUNCH of "print.printer" stuffso it would send. Firefox does not load the website when clicking a hyperlink in another program

I am using Firefox 5.0.1 in Snow Leopard 10.6.8. When I click on a hyperlink in another program, Firefox launch but show me a blank page, instead of the web page of that hyperlink. This only happen if Firefox is not launched prior to clicking the hyperlink. This mean, if I am already using Firefox (Firefox is opened) and I click on the hyperlink in other program's document, Firefox will launch that web page. Is there any setting that I need to do?

When printing Firefox does not open the Print Dialog window

When printing at our office we often need to print to multiple printers and not just the default printer. When printing in Firefox, however, the print automatically gets sent to the default printer and I do not get a print dialog window. I have reset Firefox's printer options, changed the prefs.js file, and launched Firefox from safe mode to check if an add-on is affecting printing - all to no avail. When I print from Chrome, or (shudder) Internet Explorer I get a dialog box giving me printer options. Your help and responses will be appreciated.

There is a hidden preference to bypass the dialog, but it definitely is not set by default. To check for that:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''print.''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) If you discover a preference named '''print.always_print_silent''' there's your trouble.
Next question would be, where did it come from?! Some possibilities:
(A) A user.js file that overrides prefs.js at startup. See: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]].
(B) A lock file in the program folder. See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences

Firefox does not paint the window if Windows 7 Basic theme is selected and Fujitsu USB port replicator PR07 is used

If I use "Windows 7 Basic" theme on my laptop (Fujitsu Lifebook A532), the Firefox window is not painted.
I see only the border of the window, the content not. As soon as I switch back to the "Windows 7" theme,
it works again.
It could be related to the graphics driver (from Intel) of my new laptop.
Before I had a desktop computer, and did not have this problem.
Update: the problem occurs only if I use my port replicator (Fujitsu USB Port Replicator PR07).
If I unplug the replicator, and use only the monitor of my laptop, everything is fine.
