Is the photo shown as missing or off-line? This can happen if photos have been moved or re-named outside of Lightroom or if images are stored on an external hard drive which is not connected. In the Library the thumbnails will show an explanation mark.
If it's not that; then you may have a bad monitor profile. This link shows how to assign a profile on Windows:

When I change my profile picture it automatically goes back to blank?

I logged into my macbook pro the other day and I noticed that my picture was blank (by blank I mean that silhouette icon that you have with new accounts). So i opened my addressbook and reset my picture.
A few minutes later, I noticed that my profile picture was reset to blank again so I changed it again and waited. Right before my eyes, the picture changed back to the silhouette again.
Any ideas?

Try changing it in your Account in System Preferences > User & Groups.

I am unable to search my history in the Search History feature as when i type a term the history list goes blank labeling "no items." Is there a reason for this and a way i can search my history to find specific sites and content??

When i try to search for specific sites whether to find something or group together a list of sites from the same site, etc, after i type in a term in the Search History box, nothing appears. When i click the empty area it says "no item selected" at the bottom. However i can still search my bookmarks. Just wondering if there's a way to fix this.

When using the internet, my web browser window goes blank

It does this quite often:
When using the internet, the web browser screen will go completly blank after 2 secs of loading.
I will see the page, then after two seconds it is gone, and the web browser is completely white.
Once, one page or tab does it, all the others start doing it.
It is very frustrating, and happens quite often.
Does this happen to anyone else, and does anyone know why or how to fix it??

The next time you have the problem, note the exact times when it starts and ends: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ If you’re running OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.

When I click on App Store icon, screen goes blank. Any ideas?

Badge on App Store icon says I have one app to update, so click on the icon, and screen is completely blank white. Info bar at top is visible, as well as a solid gray bar below that info bar, but white from there to bottom of screen. No activity at all. Ideas? Running IOS6 on an iPhone 4

False alarm. App store was frozen, but reset phone three times, and on third try, app store opened.

Lightroom 5 Develop issue

When I go into Lightroom 5 Develop mode, the Tone & Point Curve box has disappeared. It was there yesterday and I can't figure out how to get them back. I just purchased the product 2 days ago.

Right-click one of the panels that you can see and see if the checkmark next to Tone Curve is missing. Pick Curve to turn it back on.

Preventing iPod touch screen from going blank when iPod's powered.

Hi there, is there anyway (or app) to prevent the iPod touch's screen from going blank/turning off?
This is why I ask...
I often use my iPod touch as my remote, where I choose which of my iMac's iTunes songs to play next and besides I'm always revising/updating the songs' ratings. My iPod has a password to unlock and so, doing what I just said often can be bothersome. I've found out that, if the iPod's own music is playing when connected to the power, the screen never goes blank, it only dims, which is very helpful but, since I'm not listening to the iPod, I always have to turn the iPod's volume all the way down. Also this increments the number of plays to all those songs played back which is something I don't like either and so, again my question is, does anybody know if there is any way or app that, when the iPod's connected to power, only dimmed the screen (but not allow it to go blank)?

Go to Settings>General>Auto-Lock and set time to never. If you have a corporate exchange mail account on the iPod that may prevent using never (Never not present).

Adobe goes Blank when trying to print.

Images changes in Lightroom when chosen

When I am using lightroom, I am usually working with NEF files and when they are in the menu at the bottom, they look brighter and more like they did on the camera, then when I click them to work with them in the develop setting they change to more of a dull and dimmer picture with less color etc. I want my original picture, the brighter beautiful one, how??? I've seen other users pose this question but haven't seen any solutions that work for me. I get the error: "An error occurred when attempting to change modules" when I open up Lightroom 5 on one user, but on another user it opens up fine. I've tried moving and trashing preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling the program. It's the same whether I open an existing catalog or try to open Lightroom while creating a new project. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This occured after updating to Mavericks on a 2011 iMac. All other Creative Cloud apps seem to have installed just fine.

Ref Solution 5: checked permissions and changed all to "Read & Write" - makes no difference

I am getting this error message as well. I have just downloaded Lightroom recently. I try to click on Lightroom / preferences....and nothing happens. I tried to uninstall and it is greyed out so I can't do that either. Suggestions? Please help?
