When I choose a picture in Lightroom 5, and click on Develop, it was file not found. What am I doing wrong?
It means the photo has been moved, renamed or deleted outside of Lightroom (Hint: don't do that)
To fix the problem, either move the photo back to where it was (using your operating system), or re-connect in Lightroom following these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders

Look at the file name closely for errors. Should have "show extension" enabled in OS. Look for more than one dot like boat.jpg.jpg

Don't import again yet, it is usually the last thing to do as you will lose many settings and work you have done already.

Click on the blue Internet Recovery in nbar's post. That is a link to what computers can run Internet Recovery.
Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.

I have set up a 'group' in my contacts. When I go to send an email to this 'group', I get an error message saying 'Invalid Address'. What am I doing wrong?
I have this problem too. I've always sent messages successfully via bcc to a group using a group email list in contacts. Now ... all of a sudden when I select the same group for bcc nothing happens! Cannot email my group now. Why not?

I've just installed Mavericks on my Macbook Pro, which took forever to install, and everything appears to be fine except for iPhoto. When I try and open iPhoto I get a popup saying its not supported by this OS. Anyone have any ideas??? Help please.

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I have the newest MAC and I loaded my Lightroom 3 and when I try to import photos it says READ only. And it keeps defaulting to iPhoto.

Are you using Nikon software at any step of the process before import into Lightroom? If so, please try importing directly from the camera card using Lightroom only, and no Nikon software in the process.

I had my iPod set up and everything then when I hooked or up to my computer iTunes told me that my iPod could not be read and that I needed to restore it, so I did that and after when i plugged it into iTunes and selected the songs that I wanted to put on my iPod and clicked sync it started to sync but right when it gets to the end it goes blank and says choose your songs/playlists once again and I have to start all over. What am I doing wrong?? Help me , I neded my music!!

When my ipod nano is plugged into my computer it says ipod not found
My ipod nano no longer connects to computer. It still works when playing elsewhere and Itunes is working as well. It is exempt from firewall so that's not the problem. Not sure if my ipad or iphone will connect. I am afraid to test them at this point. I tried another usb cable (Apple) so that's not the problem. Diagnostics says ipod not found.

When I try to record audio with Soundflower, the recording has no audio. What am I doing wrong?
I am an amateur DJ trying to record a mix made in Cross DJ. I followed a tutorial instructing me to use Soundflower to route my system audio to QuickTime and have had no problem routing. Yet when I record the audio with QuickTime, the recording plays no audio. What am I doing wrong? I really need this mix recorded and I have no intention of downloading extra software.
This is because you have Punch on the fly enabled under Options (top menu)>Audio>Punch on the Fly.... signified by the letter P instead of the letter R

When I delete an e-mail, it automatically puts another e-mail in my inbox which reads "No Sender", thus I have numerous e-mails that have not really been deleted. How can I delete all these e-mails and how to correct the issue of deleting e-mails?
Here is one way of doing it. Left click on picture, list opens click on save as. In next window box apears save as type PNG(*.png). Then go to my pictures and print picture from there. I am not sure what print target is? That is in the list also. That may be how it is directly printed. Never used that short cut. Try it and see. I know for sure saving it to file works.

Folders with photo files are lost due to external hard drive crashing. Processed photo's are still in LR. How can I export from LR to a file (any file) that no longer exists? Help!!!
Well, no backups, the technical term for that is "a problem". I think from this point forward, you need to commit yourself to making regular automated backups of all of your photos and catalog file to different physical disks, no excuses.
Your photos are not stored in Lightroom. However, Lightroom does create "previews", this is what you are seeing, but these are usually smaller and low-quality compared to the originals. There are plug-ins that can extract the previews from Lightroom. One such plug-in is here robcole.com - PreviewExporter -
