When I choose a website, I end up with a different unrelated website

When I do a search in Google through Mozilla Firefox, and then select the website I want, a completely different website with completely different URL opens up, often selling stuff like hedge funds, or redirected to another search website. So, the website I'm getting is not the one I selected. I have to go back and try 2-3 times. Sometimes more, so I give up.

When I migrated to iCloud I ended up with two sets of calendars.

When I migrated to iCloud I ended up with two sets of calendars. I now have two calendars named "Home", two calendars named "Work", etc. I can't just delete one set, because my events somehow ended up split across the calendars.
Is there any way to merge these two sets of calendars into one set? I can use Export and Import to move future events from one calendar to another, but I also want to move past events.
FWIW, the duplicate calendars appear on all my devices and also on iCloud.

I fixed this by doing the following:
Renamed one set of calendars to "name-1" and the other set of calendars to "name-2". Gave the different calendars different numbers.
Located all events in the "-1" calendars by turning off the "-2" calenders. Used the Year view to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
Changed each event to point to the "-2" calendar.
Deleted all the "-1" calendars.
Removed the "-2" from all the remaining calendars.
This didn't end up taking that long, and the changes were immediately reflected on all my devices.

I just updated my MacBook pro early 2011 model to OSX 10.9 and was forced to create a new user(administrator) and ended up with a different configuration. If I login with my original user name everything is back. How can I get rid of the other user name?

I have two user names with Administrator privelages and my MacBook keeps booting up to the wrong one and I have the wrong configuration since I updated to OSX 10.9. I would like to get back to my original User name which I used to boot up to. When I go to the User Groups and Preferences it doesn't allow me to delete the un-wanted user.
Does anybody have any suggestions how I can fix this? I can't seem to recover Time Capsule back-ups prior to the OSX upgrade even though I have been faithfully backing up to a Time Machine.

First of all, open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options, and set your old user account in "Automatic login". By doing this, your computer will always log in with your old account.
Then, log in your old account, where you will be able to delete the new user that OS X Mavericks forced you to create. Other users have reported the same problem

When syncing movies, iPhone says it is synced with a different library

I don't ever have a problem syncing apps or music, but I tried to sync a movie (first time ever) and I get an error message that reads:
"The iPhone is synced with another iTunes library, do you want to erase the iPhone and sync with this library?"
I really don't want to lose anything important off of the phone, and I don't know what it plans on erasing seeing as I've used the same library on this phone since I got it. I went to sync apps, and it was fine, it only seems to have a problem with the movies.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know your password, or if you prefer not to enter it, just press return three times at the password prompt.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test will take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line "[Process completed]" to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report your results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

Why is firefox becoming extremely slow or stuck when choosing a website in win 7 64-bit pro?

when starting a new website from search or bookmarks it starts with connecting and collecting data from the requested website but it get stuck or is extremely slow. One solution is to click update button several times. Is there a way to solve this problem? I have tested both stable firefox 6 and firefox 7 beta. This is not happening in win xp pro or other windows xp versions. Internet explorer (64-bit) is working fine, but I want to use firefox.

First of all, this is my first time trying to make a website.
I'm doing an assignment for my class and i found it difficult for me to fix. I have spend 4-5 hours researching online but nothing work for me.

That's what APDivs do. This is the single most common problem new people have with web page layouts. DO NOT use positioning. You don't need it. Start over. Learn to use CSS floats, margins and padding to align elements.

Getting foll. error - Cannot transform child 'when' in 'choose'

Hi,
If someone can help me on this: When I am using foll. code in the field on the RTF template (in field properties --> Add Help Text-->Help Key (F1) window):
<?choose:?><?when: mis_i_s='P'?><?end when?><?otherwise:?><?choose:?><?when: mis_di='100%'?><?mis_u_p_F?><?end when?><?otherwise:?><?mis_u_p_1?><?end otherwise?><?end choose?><?end otherwise?><?end choose?>
I am getting foll. error : "Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Cannot transform child 'when' in 'choose'.".
But if I put it directly on the page (not as a field), it works fine. I can't put it directly as I can't align it the way I want (right top) as it default comes bottom left.
Let me know if this code is fine, or what can be the IF version of it?

Hi,
I had a similar issue about a year or so ago and raised an SR. Unfortunately it's dropped off my SR list since it is fairly old but I think the reason given was that you can't have more than one 'when' statement in a single line.
If it works outside of a from field then I would put your code in a template and then call that from a form field eg:
<?template:t_choose?>
choose statements
<?end template?>
(Note this template can be put anywhere in your document)
Then in your table just use <?call:t_choose?> in your form field to reference it.
