When I choose external editor in iPhoto on my iMac it does not recognize Aperture. When I do the same on my laptop it works? Any ideas?

No idea, but Aperture is not an external editor. Like iPhoto, Aperture is a Photo Manager. It's a database. There is no way to round trip a shot from iPhoto to Aperture and back again like you can with Photshop or an image editor.
Given that Aperture does pretty much everything that iPhoto does - and a whole lot more - it begs the question: why not just use it to manage your photos?

If you are seeing your photos in "Last Import", the photos are somewhere in your library. Perhaps the dates are wrong, and you do not see the photos arranged by date, where you expect them to be.
Select one of the photos on "Last Import", then ctrl-click it and select "Show in Event". That will take you to the event in event view.

Let your ipod die. Then when it is dead charge it adn turn it back on. After that it should be fine.

The front camera displays a reversed image on the screen, as if you were looking into a mirror. When you take a picture, it comes out normal, which is backwards to what you would have observed on the screen.

Today, I did try something, i changed to a different USB port and connecting cable from my iPhone to my iMac and with iPhoto already open the photos were visible and i was able to download my newest iPhone photos to my iMac. I did this due to the fact that i had this same connectivity problem with the external back up device i use and when i switched that device to a Firewire cable (from a USB) i can now do external backups. Not sure if the issue is with the cable or the USB port, but this worked for me!

ITunes does not recognize ipad when connected

When I connect my iPad to the computer, iTunes does not recognize the iPad. I have had the iPad for several months now and have not had the issue. I checked the cable with the charger and that works fine. Went through what Apple suggested to no avail. Any ideas?

What camera is it? Have you set it to PTP or Mass Storage? Did you check the cable, camera battery, try a different USB port? Have you tried using a Card Reader?

HP Photosmart 7520 does not recognize computer when trying to scan.

I have went thru the wireless setup on the printer, have done the steps recommended for other similair posts, printer will scan when initiated by paint, but does not find computer when accessing from printer screen. Computer and printer are connected and wireless network test results are all good. I've run out of ideas. Please help.

Try the remaining items of the following. The hotness tends to say a hardware problem like maybe a bad battery.
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Are you putting in the address where the bank sends the monthly statement?
Apple's servers are very picky about the format of the address. If you live in the USA, then the server is expecting the style that the US Postal Service uses. One way to do this is to use the USPS ZIP Code lookup service;

Enter the address to look up the ZIP code and then copy the exact USPS output into your iTunes account information.

Windows 7 computer does not recognize SX50HS when connected by cable

My computers, both of which run Windows 7, do not recognize the Powershot SX50HS when it is connected via the Canon cable. In other words, even after the cable is connected to the USB port and the camera's power is turned on, the camera does not show up as a device when you go to "Computer" and look at the list of drives, etc. How can I fix this? If you don't know run the software disk that came with the SX50. It has the correct files that your computer needs in order to communicate with your camera.

Have downloaded Mountain Lion on my 2010 Mac Mini. Now when starting up, after a while I get a message that says, "You must restart your computer." I do that but get the same message again and again. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am having issues trying to start up with Mountain Lion on my 2010 Mac Mini. Here's the scenario:
1) After starting up, I get the usual gray screen with Apple logo.
2) After a few minutes, a darker gray screen scrolls down and in the middle of this is a black dialogue box with reversed (white) text. This text, in multiple languages, reads: "You need to restart your computer." Then it goes on to instruct on how to shut it down and restart it.
3) I follow this instruction, but get the same dialogue box over and over agin.
Any ideas?

If you can't boot in the usual way, try a safe boot. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
During startup, you’ll see a progress bar, and then the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. Outlook contacts is not an option when trying to sync to my iphone. I added the addin in the outlook tools section. It has worked in the past but I have not used it lately to sync.
