When I click "configure" in Synch Contacts with Google, I enter my google ID and PW, but it doesn't seem to take. I tried the same thing with Yahoo, and nothing happens. What is the problem?

This issue is similar to a question that was asked in Dec 2010, but was not answered, and has not been archived.
I'm hoping someone might have an idea.

I am having problems with iPhone contacts synchronization settings in iTunes 10. I have: - iPhone 4 - OS 4.2.1 - Windows Vista PC When I view the device in iTunes and click on "Info" at the top of the screen, I see a box to "Synch contacts with"...in iTunes for Windows,by lindsacl,Dec 4, 2010

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes). 
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]] 
 
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Have you tried HELP in FINDER? If you open HELP and enter 'displays' in the field in the upper right hand corner you will get a list of topics on setting up monitors. Specifically read 'Setting up multiple displays to show the same image' and 'Setting up multiple displays as an extended desktop'.

More possible bad news. If you had followed what fane_j had asked you to do you might have found out it wasn't microsoft's fault for your problem and wouldn't have had to spend $150. Because while you may have an Office that works, fane_j was not suggesting a solution but probing for a trojan (google "flashback trojan") that has been crashing powerpc code which is what Office 2004 is.
So if you do have the trojan, while you can run a version of Office, the trojan may still be in your system since installing a version of Office isn't going to remove it. So I'll make another request. Launch Terminal (in your Utilities folder) and copy/paste the following line into the terminal window and hit return:
defaults read ~/.MacOSX/environment
If you see anything other than a "does not exist" error message you almost certainly do have the trojan and post the results in this thread.
The choice is yours. You can ignore this and take the risk. Or do what has been requested.

Don't know if that would be a failing hard drive, but it may be that you are out of available space. How much hard drive space do you have available? Please highlight the Macintosh HD icon and then press Command and I for a get info window. Once open, please copy and post the following:
Capacity:
Used:
Available:
Mac OS requires a minimum of 10 - 15% of total hard drive space available and empty at all times in order to operate properly.

Rollovers in CS6 don't work when I do the same thing as I did in CS5, what has changed?

When I do exactly the same procedure with the rollover images as I did in CS5, the rollovers don't work how they supposed to... When you look in the browser, only the first button changes everytime. I have checked it a thousand times, I have made the link correct and I really use the right images... I don't know what the problem is, something must have been changed. I hope someone can tell me what this is....

Whenever I right click on an image on a web page and select 'Save image as...', the filename always ends with '.jpg.jpeg' instead of '.jpg'. How do I stop Firefox doing this? It doesn't happen when I try the same thing with Internet Explorer

It hasn't done this since I first installed Firefox, only the last month or so.
I've tried running in Firefox safe mode with all extensions disabled but this makes no difference.

In that case you may need to look in the Windows registry with the registry editor (regedit.exe) to see if the problem is there. 
You can do a search (Ctrl+F) for jpg after navigating to the HKCR\MIME\Database key.

I can load my Numbers "My Templates" onto my ipad Air running ios 8 using iCloud, but when I try to do the same thing with my iphone 5s also running ios8, I get an error message and they do not load. What to do?

I am referring to the "My Templates" folder where I have designed my own specific templates. It loaded fine for iPad Air but confusingly, once it is on iCloud it does not seem to be accessible by my iPhone. So I tried the same process which entails finding the com.apple.numbers file and emailing the files; selecting them on iPhone then telling them to be opened by Numbers. Numbers will ask if you want them to be added to Templates. I said yes and after a brief attempt it returns the message that it cannot load the templates, an error occurred, but there is no reference as to what that error might be nor how to fix it.

To anyone who has viewed this post and is having similar difficulties, the answer came on a different forum: I dragged & dropped the files from Mail to iCloud Drive. Opened them on my MB Air, they were saved in Templates and are now accessible across all my devices.

First, I would try the following suggested steps for when you don't see content in iTunes after updating:
Quit iTunes.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
Mac OS X
/Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
Rename this file to iTunes Library.
Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.

My friend should be able to sync her iPad and iPod so that she can stream information between the two devices and her computer. Her brothers were right next to her and did the same thing with there devices and same settings and it worked for them.

What would have went wrong because she should have been able to sync all three together at the same time? Her I pad is new so restoring may be an option to make sure her settings are correct for this process. She doesn't use iCloud so she backs her information up to her computer.

There are mobile device management solutions that can do this, including in Apple's OS X Server system, but most parents generally find that setting this up is more work than it's worth. If you're interested, though, there are a couple that at least purport to be free (I don't know if there are any hidden "gotchas"):

I don't think any, however, allow you to see current activity or browser history. iOS doesn't expose those to access from MDM solutions, to the best of my knowledge.

For about a week now, Firefox will not start unless I re-install it, then it works for about a day and does the same thing. I have gone through all of the fixes

I am on the current Firefox version. I am running Windows 7 Professional with all current updates, and I run McAfee. As stated, I have tried all of the possible fixes your site discusses and have made sure McAfee is setup to allow Firefox full access. I am not sure what to do. Doing a reinstall fixes it for 12 to 24 hours. There is no message, just does not start and there does not seem to be a process running.

Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox and any leftover program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps one by one:
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu) and confirm all upcoming messages.
#Now, uninstall Firefox by following the steps mentioned in the [[Uninstall Firefox from your computer#w_uninstall-firefox|Uninstall Firefox]] article.
'''IMPORTANT:''' On Windows, the uninstaller has the option to remove your personal data and settings. Button does not make the same thing in English and in German

I have created an HTMLDB-Application (HTMLDB 2.0) with two Pages:
Page1 has one Region in which there is one Report and two Buttons. Button1 has the Label 'German' and Button2 has the Label 'English'.
Page2 is a HTML-Page wich only gives a success-Message.
Page1: There is a Process1 wich is activated when Button1 is pressed. The Process sets the 'FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE' to German (de-ch) which is the Applications primary language. After that the Application branches to Page2
There is a Process2 wich is activated when Button2 is pressed. The Process sets the 'FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE' to English (en). After that the Application branches to Page2
When the Application has the FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE = de-ch and I tick the Button2 (English) the Application branches to Page2 and sets the FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE = en.
When the Application then has the FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE = en and i tick the Button2 (German) the application only reloads the page and it doesn't start the process and doesn't branch to page2. The same happens when FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERNCE = en and I press the Button1 (English).
It seems that the Application can not see the processes and the branches when the FSP_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE is en.
Does anyone have an Idea what could be the reason?

When I run your application, the language is set to en. Both the Englisch ENG and Deutsch buttons are javascript:redirect's to page 1, which as I understand it, will change the page in the browser as though you had typed in the address directly. It does not submit the page, and therefore the processes do not run.
When you run the page in german, what do the button links point to?
Have you made any changes to the german version, and not re-published the english version?
I'm not an HTML DB expert, so I hope what I've said is correct and it helps you.
