When I click LR5.3 on my desktop program does not respond
Lr 5.3 is not responding. When I click LR5.3, LR4 already existing on my computer opens. what can I do to open LR5?

While installing Lightroom 5 through the Creative Cloud desktop application or updating to Lightroom 5.3 you may receive the error message, "There was a problem installing Lightroom 5." Try making separate desktop icons for the Editor and Organizer. You can then launch directly. The standard desktop icon is for the welcome screen which often runs in the background or doesn’t shut down properly.
Start by right-clicking on the desktop and select:
New >> Shortcut
Then browse to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13
Inside the Photoshop Elements 13 folder make sure you select the application (not a shortcut) by scrolling down to the files beginning with the letter P and highlighting ‘PhotoshopElementsEditor’
Then click next followed by finish.
You can repeat for the Organizer using the different file path.
New >> Shortcut
Then browse to:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Elements 13 Organizer
Highlight ‘PhotoshopElementsOrganizer’
Then click next, followed by finish.
Now that you have your separate desktop icons you can delete the one for the welcome screen, if preferred. On Mac try launching directly from Applications. [if not using PSE13 substitute your own version and go to Program Files (x86)] -

The problem appeared two days ago is that I can't open my mail app. everything was fine and functional. Now I double click on the icon and it does not respond. it receives mail and I can see push notifications on the mail icon but when I try to open it is no use. OS Y 10.10.2 (14C1514)Please follow these directions to delete the Mail "sandbox" folder.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder—not just its contents—to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Restart the computer. Launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you may have to recreate some of your Mail settings. Any custom stationery that you created may be lost. Ask for instructions if you want to preserve that data. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test. -
A word document was emailed to me. I can open the document without a problem on my iPad 2. Is there a way for me to type on the document.... to fill out the form? When I click the fields, the virtual keyboard does not appear.
If you want to edit a word document then you will need an app on your iPad that supports word so that you can copy them to it via 'open in' e.g. Apple's Pages app or a third-party app such as Documents To Go or QuickOffice HD

I downloaded the latest version of itunes. I am now getting the message that my ipod is in recovery and needs to be restored. When I click to restore, it says it does not recognize this device. Now my ipod is frozen with an image of a cord and an arrow pointing toward the itunes icon. All was working fine before the download!
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am trying to use the brightness adjustment on a grayscale photoshop CS6 file. The preview shows the adjustment working and changes the brightness, but when you click to apply the change, it does not apply the adjustment. I have run into this problem before, although rarely, with some other files over the years and with earlier versions of CS. I would like to know how to overcome this problem?
Make sure you are viewing your image at 100%. At smaller views, pixels and layers and the way they interact are approximate interpolations and won't show you the actual pixel-for-pixel changes.

I tried to update my nephew iphone 4 version 4.3.4 (8k2), I did back-up everything before attempting to update and the result when I click down-load and update, it does not update instead it says, itunes could not contact the iphone software update server because you are not connected to the internet. I did check my wire-less connections and the connection from my PC to wire-less is hundred percent okay. I did search using google.com to confirm and my connections is good. If the photos that you have on your iPad came from a different computer that may be why you are getting that message. If you have photos from a previous sync with iTunes you must make sure that you have those photos selected to sync again.
In the photo below, I have a checkmark next to sync photos. The folder from which the photos are syncing is iPhoto on my Mac. You can also see that I have clicked - selected albums, events, and faces automatically. These events, albums, etc will sync every time the way I have this set up.
I can also add new events or albums when I sync if I choose to do so. You have to select the other albums, events, etc. that you want to sync by putting a checkmark in the box next to the event and then click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes and they will transfer to your iPad. -

I am running a trial version of Elements 13 on the latest IMac 27 inch. Any move of the mouse and it is time out. Doesn't matter if the mouse is trying to do an edit or just moving across the window. The program does not respond very well at all. I am wondering now if I should bother purchasing the program.
How much ram do you have? Did you recently import a bunch of photos into the organizer? PSE will be slow till it's through cataloguing them, which can take some time for large number of images.

What does the product developer say about system requirements? If it needs to be run from within Internet Explorer then you'll need to find a way to run Internet Explorer. Boot Camp or VM installation of Windows would be two options.
