When i click on a bookmark, it will not open yet

when i do left click on a bookmark in bookmark menu, my bookmark does't open yet
I must do right click on bookmark, select "Open in new Tab" only then I can see my bookmark.
by the way, when i do right click and select "Open" - bookmark doesn't open too
This problem start in my Mozilla when I update it to 31 version. Now I use 33.1 version

Проблема в том, что в Мозиле не работает функция "Открыть" закладку. В меню закладок выбираю нужную закладку, кликаю левой кнопкой сворачивается меню закладка не открывается. Чтобы открыть закладку мне необходимо правой кнопкой мыши выбрать "Открыть в новой вкладке" и только тогда открывается закладка. Кроме того, если правой кнопкой выбрать опцию "Открыть", то закладка также НЕ открывается. Проблемы начались с 31 версии Мозилы.

I have two issues since upgrading to FF4. The first issue is, when I click on a bookmark it will not automatically open in a new tab. I do have this option checked in my preferences, but it will not work. The second issue is when I search in the Google box, I cannot click on the auto search option.

Bookmarks always open in the current tab unless you middle-click or use Ctrl + left-click to open the bookmarks in a new tab just like you do with other links.
There are extensions that can change that behavior.

I just got a Macbook Pro and installed Firefox. On a PC, whenever I clicked on a bookmark, it opened in a new tab. The same settings do not work on a Mac. The bookmark opens in the same tab I was on. Help please

My understanding is that the default action for left clicking a bookmark is to open in the current tab. If you want to open in a new tab, the middle click button is usually the way to do it.
Alternatively, you can install the following extension which will force all bookmarks to open in a new tab:

Or this extension which will provide more options for tabs (including what you want):

My computer says firefix is running....I can not find it and when I click on the icon it will not open. What can I do?

I can not get firefox to open when I click the icon. A box appears and tells me firefix is running but I can not find it anywhere. I have tried to delete it and everything else I can think of and it will not open. Please tell me what I can do.

I used to have this problem on my old XP computer, too. The easiest way to fix it is to restart your computer. Use Shutdown and restart. This will stop the firefox process that is hanging and won't show up on your screen.
If you are somewhat computer literate, you can look at all your running processes by pressing Ctrl Shift Esc all at once using the three finger salute. Look at the list of processes to find firefox, highlight it, and select end process. Then go back and click on your shortcut to your firefox to regain control and display it on your screen.
Be sure to upgrade to the latest version of firefox, Version 5. It works much better than previous versions.

hi, i did what matt suggested and started my mac in safe mode....the links worked well in safe mode....when i checked them after booting up normally, the links worked for a time, not long, and now they no longer work
what is happening with me, when i click on a link in tb, firefox will open to the proper link, however, if firefox is already open the link will just bring up the firefox browser and not the link....i have to close firefox and then click on the link and firefox will then open to the proper window......
any help would be appreciated

I meant holding the "option" (or "alt") key on your keyboard as you click the Outlook icon on the Dock, and continuing to hold it until you see the Microsoft Database Utility come up. Did you ever install Acrobat? It is not installed automatically with CS, but requires an extra installation step.

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...

PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

I just uploaded to the newest version of Firefox. Now, when I click on a bookmark the link opens in the same tab - they won't open in a new tab. However, when I click on a link in an existing page that link opens in a new tab. I miss having my bookmarked links open in their own individual tabs. Please put that function back in.

Some add-ons like Tab Mix Plus offer that as an option, but I do not recall that ever being a built-in function if Firefox.

Bookmark panel will not open when I publish to our company intranet

Hi.
I created a pdf with bookmarks and set the pdf to properties to "open bookmark panel and page. The document works fine if I email it to someone but if I publish it to the web (our intranet), the bookmark panel will not appear. This happens to other co-workers when they launch the pdf from the web. We all have acrobat reader 9 and I checked the settings and they seem to be fine.
Also, I recently was updated to office 2010 and used word to create my documents. I understand there is a bit of a problem with Acrobat 9 and Word 2010 but I am not sure if this is what is causing my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
