When I click on add-ons it shows for a second then automatically goes to Garmin URL and can't use add-ons

my add-ons has been hijacked and the garmin url immediately replaces add-ons and I lose the functionality of add-ons. Thank you.

It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware.
Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is
there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer
Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't
know what they are.

hello davidbutterly, it sounds like a theme or extension might be interfering here. please try launching firefox in safe mode once and see if the issue is occurring there too. in case it's working correctly, please go to firefox > addons > extensions and disable/remove any extension that look suspicious/you didn't install intentionally or that might interfere with the tab loading behaviour.

Some pictures in I-Photo seem to be corrupted. When I click on them, the photo comes up for a second, then the picture turns black with a white fuzzy circle inside it and what looks like an explanation mark. Some older, some newer, no common thread.

time to time (when I have a chance), I will go to Finder, bring up ALL Images and start going through them to label them (before I put a label on them, they are simply listed as 123 jpg, 124 jpg etc.).
You're damaging the Library doing that, and that's the cause of your problem.
Never, ever, ever use the All Images search and work on items in yoyr iPhoto Library. They must only be accessed via the iPhoto window.
Restroe from abck up or try rebuild the Library:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
Next: You need to learn how to use iPhoto. There's no need to be dragging things to the desktop:

Iphone 6 tells me that "Item not available" in my country UK, when i click on the itunes store icon for the app to open the music, movies or tv shows section of the app. is this a bug?

I am based in the UK and have just got a new iphone 6, everything works well except when i try to turn on the itunes store app - i can do a search and buy music etc that way, within the app, however, if i go to Music, Movies or the TV shows section within the Store app, i get a message come up saying "Item Not Available" - This item you've requested is not currently available in the UK Store, but it is available in the US store. Tap Change Store to view this item". I therefore cannot browse the music, movies or tv shows sections at all, nothing shows up except that message. All my previous itunes purchases have downloaded ok, and i can access them. My apple ID works fine and restrictions on the iphone are turned OFF. The App Store app works normally. Connection etc is all fine and I can access itunes in the normal way on my ipad and laptop, so this is just an iphone problem. Any ideas? is this a bug? I cant find anyone else with exactly the same problem. By the way, the same message comes up when i click on the red Music icon, on the iphone (situated next to the Safari icon) and then go to the "Store" via that app. my playlists are in tact, but as soon as i click that Store button, I am told that the Item is unavailable - not that i have chosen any Item lol, I just want to access the store in the normal way. Ok, sorry. And yes, I just restored my iPhone as new and tried to put all the songs on there before I even restored with my previous backup, but it still does the same thing... even when I just checked the option to sync only "selected music or videos". How's that possible?
P.S. After I tried syncing with checked songs only, nothing showed up under Music on my phone and this message popped up in iTunes: "The iPhone "..." could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish." If you could, please tell me what that means, thanks.

Actually, Reader SHOULD keep showing documents that no longer exist, I disagree. It's no big deal, and people will quickly realise why they can't open the file. They open more files, the old ones move off.
The REASON why it should not check is that checking whether a file exists can take a long time when things aren't good. For instance if a file server goes down, or a memory card is unplugged. That in turn would mean delays opening the File menu, and I've seen some software that can sit there for several minutes. That would really give people something of which to complain...

Just to clarify, I am not getting an "!" mark in a triangle, as I read others have experienced. The screen is just blank except the grey flag in lefthand corner to flag the photo.
