When I click on App Store icon, screen goes blank. Any ideas?
Badge on App Store icon says I have one app to update, so click on the icon, and screen is completely blank white. Info bar at top is visible, as well as a solid gray bar below that info bar, but white from there to bottom of screen. No activity at all. Ideas? Running IOS6 on an iPhone 4
False alarm. App store was frozen, but reset phone three times, and on third try, app store opened.

Go into the Music app and access the iTunes Store through it. You should on have to do so one time.

When I hit app store icon it goes to search mode. How do I get it back to category list like games/books/ entertainment??
If you place your finger inbetween the search bar at the top and the keyboard at the bottom and slide your finder downwards it should hide the keyboard and make the icons at the bottom reappear

How can I change the Chinese characters back to English appear on the bottom icons after clicking the App Store icon on the iPad? It was in English before I upgrade to iOS5.
Is the address on your account based in France ? The language of the stores should reflect the language of the country where your account is based, which isn't necessarily the same language as you've set on the device.
If your account isn't based in a French spealing country, then try logging out of the account (via Settings > Store) and then log back in (and also make sure that your address is correct and complete), and see if the language of the iTunes and App Store the reflect the language of the country where your account is based. -

In windows 7, click on your start menu, go to accessories, right click on the command prompt icon and choose "run as administrator". Once it opens, type in the following command...
netsh winsock reset
hit enter and it should say something like winsock reset successful now reboot your computer. -

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.
Maybe it's time to buy yourself a new iPod Touch. -

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
