When I click on GBookmarks the menu doesn't drop down anymore. How can I get my bookmarks to show again?
When I click on GBookmarks on the menu bar, my bookmarks don't drop down anymore. How can I get my bookmarks to show again? What shows up now when I click on the GBookmarks are 4 choices: Add bookmarks, manage bookmarks, options, and refresh. How can I get my menu of booksmarks to drop down again? I can go to manage bookmarks and then find my bookmarks, but it's a 3 step process now instead of one. What happened here?
The reviews for the GBookmarks extension agree that there is some problem recently.

You can't. It's now integrated with the URL bar. It's a search/URL combo.

I took my Ipad to my local Apple store as it would not d`load or update apps. They factory restored it,on icloud backup restore not all my apps were restored including some i`d paid for, they show up on my list of appsin icloud, how can i get them back? any help very welcome, thanx...Andrew
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. You either have an incredibly complex computer setup or I think you are confusing terminology here. If you have iTunes set to share your library with others in your iTunes preferences then other computers in the area will see it as an item when they are running their iTunes and have it set to check for shared libraries. Your husband is probably seeing this when running iTunes on his computer. You can disable this sharing on your computer and/or he can set his not to pick up shared libraries.
By the way, an iTunes account is something you log into when you want to buy something from Apple. On your computer it is simply your iTunes collection or your iTunes application. So you need to turn off sharing in your iTunes application preferences.
Your husband is seeing "his" iTunes collection when running iTunes, but it is possible he doesn't have anything in it if it is a brand new computer. -
I am trying to use a short mp3 file as a ringtone. So far every website has told me that all I have to do is drag the file into the "ringtones" folder that is located in the menu bar on the left side of I-tunes. I don't have this folder. Again, every website tells me to simply go to "Edit" and then "Preferences" and to click on the ringtones box and then the folder will magically appear. My itunes is the latest 10.5 version but somehow I don't have this option. What is wrong with my i tunes?

Yep... strange move on Apple's part.
The quick solution would be to get hold of a Concert from MS 2 with the right layout etc, and then open it in your MS3.
Slower would be to make your own layout using Grouped Controls for the pedal layout you'd like, then assign to incoming MIDI as needed (Switches etc), then map to the effects controls in Edit mode.
You'll need to be careful how you setup the Screen Control backgrounds.

I am trying to use and education program that needs Java applets and it will not run on Safari. IE will not install from the web. How do I get a browser that will work to install so I can use this program when I travel.
Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.

There are presently several alternatives for running Windows on Intel Macs.
Install the Apple Boot Camp software. Purchase Windows 7 or Windows 8. Follow instructions in the Boot Camp documentation on installation of Boot Camp, creating Driver CD, and installing Windows. Boot Camp enables you to boot the computer into OS X or Windows.
Parallels Desktop for Mac and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. Parallels is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
VM Fusion and Windows XP, Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Windows 7. VM Fusion is software virtualization that enables running Windows concurrently with OS X.
CrossOver which enables running many Windows applications without having to install Windows. The Windows applications can run concurrently with OS X.
VirtualBox is a new Open Source freeware virtual machine such as VM Fusion and Parallels that was developed by Solaris. It is not as fully developed for the Mac as Parallels and VM Fusion.
Note that Parallels and VM Fusion can also run other operating systems such as Linux, Unix, OS/2, Solaris, etc. There are performance differences between dual-boot systems and virtualization. The latter tend to be a little slower (not much) and do not provide the video performance of the dual-boot system. yesterday I updated logic pro, I have just discovered that my IK Multimedia ARC system has disappeared from the plug in drop down window, can anyone advise how I can get it back. It seems that old logic files where it was previously loaded still have the plug in live, but on a new project file it simply isn't there to select and activate.
Not sure about your issue. What did you update from and to? Is ARC still in the plugins/components folder?
I'm an ARC user too. I have it plugged in to Audio Hijack Pro which is set to hijack audio from Logic. This way ARC is after logic and you don't have to remember to bypass the plugin before you bounce. -

That will tell us if it is a system problem with the whole PC, or just a problem with itunes. -
I created a slideshow in a previous version of iPhoto. Since updating software the music in my slide show no longer plays. How do I fix this? If I select fit slideshow to music, the application will shutdown and the error file is sent and have to reopen iPhoto.

Are you an administrative user?
Are you using any tools which impact System cache? If you are, stop. They are NOT maintenance tools despite their description. They should only be used to troubleshoot cache issues. They can create their own cache issues if you aren't careful, and I only recommend using them on systems that are already backed up. If you were using such a tool and found out how to remove it from its developer, including any supporting documents, and don't have a backup, still backup your data at least twice, as you may be able to import the data back once erase and installing the system. Let us know where you stand. If you aren't using such a tool, still backup your data at least twice, as there are other things that can corrupt or disable System Preference launching, but we can't tell safely unless your data files are backed up at least twice in two separate locations. -

For future reference... if you have the trial version installed and plan to buy it after trying it out, there is no need to uninstall it. It can be activted to full use with the serial number from your purchase.

I updated to Mavericks and a bunch of my info deleted. I tried opening a previous iDVD I made, but when I click on it, it says to look for themes. How do I get my movie to work? Thanks.
Did you do an erase and install of Mavericks? If not look in the HD/Library/Application Support folder for an iDVD folder. There should be a Themes folder in it. If it's not there look in your Home/Library/Applications Suport folder for the iDVD folder.
NOTE: In Mavericks, 10.9, the Home Library is invisible so go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring up this window:
Select Show Library Folder. Now you can check to see if the iDVD folder in there.
If you find the iDVD folder launch iDVD, go to its Advanced preference pane and point iDVD to the Themes folder:
If you can't find the Themes folder you'll need to reinstall iDVD from the source you installed it from originally, i.e. the disks that came with your Mac or an iLife 09 or 11 disk.
