When I click on Mozilla Firefox I get server not found. When I ask for help I get server not found. Without my intention visual bee is in background.

I recently responded to a prompt to upgrade Mozilla Firefox and started seeing visual bee in background and got lookup for browser safeguard.com.com failed. Can't get into Firefox. My version is 3.6.12. Help requested. Thanks Keith

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Are you really using Windows ME?<br />
Your More system details list shows an IE8 user agent
You need to do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before installing a newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

hi when i click on mozilla firefox it keeps coming up saying restore session why is this every time i go on firefox how can i stop this and delete it all together

When you quit firefox with tabs and windows open it "remembers".  When you start Firefox it tries to restore the tabs and windows you had open.
You may also want to check the preferences for Firefox:

  • When i click on mozilla firefox i get a pop up that says proxy sever refusing to connect and i have been usinf mozilla firefox for the past two years

    proxy sever will not connect

Is a proxy server required to access the internet at your location? Many businesses require the use of a proxy server but if your at home you shouldn't need a proxy.
To disable the use of a proxy sever click on the Firefox Button (or tools menu) then click options. Click on the advanced tab --> Click on the Network tab --> Under Connection click Settings --> Then click on circular button next to use System Proxy Settings. Hit OK then OK again to exit the options dialog.

  • Help!  : How do I ask for help and get a reply from Adobe?

    Hello:
I asked a question a week ago on here (Merge to HDR pro is producing very "bleached" and overexposed images.) and there have been zero replies.
What does it take to get a reply? Am I asking in the wrong area? Is there a support forum somewhere where I should ask questions instead of here?
    Any assistance greatly appreciated.
    Rob, the noob.

First this site for Adobe Product user there are forum and sub topic forum for Adobe suite of applications. Members here are not Adobe employees though some help Adobe employee do drop by.  If you think you have a bug  you can follow the an other Links in Photoshop menu Help>Photoshop Support Center... web page. Something changed your home page. If you prefer the built-in home page, you can delete the ominent address in the following dialog, and use '''about:home''' instead.
    * [[Startup, home page and download settings]]
    * [[How to set the home page]]
But... this might not stick if whatever switched your home page is still on your computer. Please also check:
    (1) user.js file
This is a file that Firefox reads at startup which overrides your previous session settings. To remove this file, see the steps in this article: [[How to fix preferences that won't save]]. Note: If windows does show the .js on files like prefs.js, sessionstore.js, and user.js, you can turn off the hiding of file extensions using the methods in this article: [http://support.microsoft.com/kb/865219].
    (2) Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program
Click the "Installed on" column heading to bring the most recent infections, I mean additions, to the top. If you recently installed some free software, it may have been bundled with whatever is responsible for changing your home page. Try to remove unwanted software here.
And... hopefully that will cure it! If you want to mop up a bit more, check out the cleanup tools other Firefox users have found helpful, in this article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].

  • I just switched to Charter. When going to Mozilla Firefox a box appears saying, Authentication Required and asks for a User name and Password. What do I do?

I switched from CenturyTel to Charter. I can't use Firefox because a box appears asking me for Authentication Required, User Name and Password. When I hit cancel, this message appears:
    HTTP 401 - Unauthorized
Authorization is required to access the configuration server.
You must enter the correct username and/or password.
When I called Charter, they told me they recommended using Internet Explorer. I told them I didn't want IE, I preferred Firefox. They recommended I go to your support page, so here I am. :o)

Have you reset the password recently for the email account?
A real simple fix usually is to delete the mail account (settings < mail contacts calendars, tap the affected account and choose delete at the bottom) Then re add the account.

  • I am asking for help in getting Genius to change playlist on my shuffle ?

I WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL FOR SOME DIRECTIONS TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS. CAN ANYONE HELP?

You will have to look in the French iBooks Store and see if any books there are made available in English. Apple can sell only what the publishers provide, and most of the French publishers apparently presume that people want books in French and are not licensing/providing books to the French iTunes Store in other languages. You may need to look to other sellers of electronic books, Amazon perhaps if they offer e-books in France, and see if they have a better selection of English-language books.
    Regards.

  • Yesterday, i posted asking for help to get a Customer code working. Now the statement is not actually showing what what's its creating.

I pasted the statement into my form and it didn't have anymore syntax errors but now it is not actually creating the code. i type in the name and a phone number but nothing is happening?
If you need anymore info please ask. I'm not sure what else to post to help.

I am trying to Take the first letter from the Company Name/Customer Name and the last 4 digits from the customers phone number. add them together to create our customer code. IE, my name is sam and the last 4 digits of my number are 6770 so my customer code would be S6770.

  • When I open on Mozilla Firefox, several identical items open on bar at bottom of page, when only one is needed, and I can't get rid of them apart from closing the whole lot.

Different tabs used to appear at the top of the page (Yahoo), which I could easily close. This has stopped. When I click on Mozilla Firefox on my desktop, about 6 little boxes appear at the bottom of my page, at least two of them being mozilla, and I can't get rid of them except by closing down the internet. If I go through Talk Talk, (a second email address) and get to Yahoo this way, this doesn't happen, but I always prefer to use Mozilla Firefox.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...
