Does the wrong Apple ID show up with a particular App or all Apps?
Apps are linked to the ID they were purchased with, so if you have Apps purchased with different IDs you may need to logout with one then log in with another to update the second one.
We've also seen were "free" Apps are downloaded from the Internet, but they are not really free but instead were just hacked by a different user so need to be updated with that account. That can prevent updates. If so, it's best to delete the bogus app and get a good copy from the App Store.

My Apple ID was disabled. I reseted it successfully. Afterwards, when I am trying to update the pending apps in App Store on my phone, in order to sign in to iTunes Store I am requested to enter a password to the wrong Apple ID which definitely does not belong to me ('[email protected]'). You have to sign out then sign in with the correct Apple ID and password.

Try opening Firefox in safe mode (which disables add-ons) Then try it. If that solves the problem, you need to disable all your add ons and enable them one by one to figure out which one(s) is causing the problem.

On opening Firefox I keep getting the above msg. Sometime ago, there was a virus posing to be a Windows XP Security Update, which was removed. According to CA who provides virus protection, this is a matter for Firefox.
Hence my concern that this may be a virus.

2nd day w/my ipad2. Have spent 5 hours trying to get my ipod music to play on the ipad..it has been downloaded and synced. When I click on itunes , I get a window that says "Apple mobile device service is not started." I get music symbol when click ipod.

Settings > iTunes and App Store > Apple ID = Sign Out... Then Sign In using the preferred Apple ID.
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID -

So did you just change the username (the new email address) for your Apple ID or did you actually create a new Apple ID? If you created a new Apple ID, you will not be able to use that new ID to update the old apps. You will have to continue to use the old ID and password to update those previously purchased apps. -
both in safari and facebook app. Likewise, can't see any facebook contact pictures on contacts app. my sofware is up to date. my facebook app is updated. please advise any solution to this. iPad, iOS 6.1.3Where did you get the device? Is it possible that it has an IT policy on the device blocking Facebook and/or Facebook options? Look in Options >Security Options >General Settings (actual menu paths vary with OS version) and see if there is any reference to IT policy.

On app store it signs in with the wrong apple id
When i try to download an app it asks me to sign in using my apple id and password however
It comes up with the wrong apple id and it doesnt let me edit it, it only lets me write in the password box.
In my settings i am signed in with the right apple id and with everything else it lets me use the right id

I have reset to the correct ID and password throughout my settings, and verified on ITunes. Still, the old apple ID continues to appear when I click "update" for my apps.

Thanks for your help!!!ALL purchases are permanently associated with whatever Apple ID was used to originally obtain them. Apps can not be updated without knowledge of that ID and, more importantly, its password.
Apple IDs can not be merged and purchases can not be transferred from one ID to another. -

You have to restore the device within iTunes. You want to use the same computer that you always sync with so that you can restore your app data and settings. You can restore with any other computer, but you will lose everything on the iPad.

The update section of the App Store saved a wrong Apple ID, and i can't update any of my apps...
It is so weird because when I buy an app, the app store has saved my actual apple ID, but for updating apps it saved a wrong one, and it's impossible to change (even when I log out and log back in with my real apple ID)..

ericI'm having the same issue of trying to update existing applications on my iPhone (a different Apple ID than my own keeps popping up). I logged out of the App Store, then in again to ensure the Apple ID was my own. Still, in my attempts to update existing apps, a different Apple ID came up.
Interestingly, if I purchase a brand new app, my own Apple ID comes up as usual, and there is no problem with the new purchase.
Logging off the phone does not fix the issue. Restoring the phone also does not fix the issue. I have tried both.
Also, I have never used a computer other than my own to sync my phone. I have had the same Apple ID and password since day one.
No doubt it will be resolved in a future update. In the meantime, for those of us affected, there is an obvious delay in the ability to update existing applications, and all suggestions thus far for a "fix" do not actually fix the issue.
Looking forward to the fix, but happy nothing else seems to be wrong (at least for the moment!) -

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID. -
We have multiple devices in our family. On each iPad/iPhone each user has their own apple id for iMessage, Facetime and icloud, but we all sign in to the same apple id for itunes. Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups
Decide on whether to setup as Admin or Standard User.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar or use Fast User Switching
Fast User Switching allows other users to leave current applications and windows open. Depending on RAM, you might need to log out rather than use FUS. -
when i click to open firefox it says that "firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system." and I've tried to shut down and restart my computer but it keeps showing the same message.
