When I click on phone icon to check who called me, I can't-- details below

It's bizarre. Instead, when I click the green phone icon, I go into a window as if I'm calling my brother. (It's always this number, one of the few numbers I've called since getting the phone.) Up top is his name, the time 00:00, and the red End button is available to click on. It's as if I'm calling him but the phone doesn't ring, and there's no way to get to the list of who called me, no way to listen to voicemails. If I click the End button up top is reads "call ending..." endlessly.
I just bought this phone like 2 weeks ago; don't understand. Anybody have any ideas what's going on? Thank you!

Did you do any of the basic troubleshooting described it the User Guide - restart, reset, restore?

I can not get firefox to open when I click the icon. A box appears and tells me firefix is running but I can not find it anywhere. I have tried to delete it and everything else I can think of and it will not open. Please tell me what I can do.

I used to have this problem on my old XP computer, too. The easiest way to fix it is to restart your computer. Use Shutdown and restart. This will stop the firefox process that is hanging and won't show up on your screen.
If you are somewhat computer literate, you can look at all your running processes by pressing Ctrl Shift Esc all at once using the three finger salute. Look at the list of processes to find firefox, highlight it, and select end process. Then go back and click on your shortcut to your firefox to regain control and display it on your screen.
Be sure to upgrade to the latest version of firefox, Version 5. It works much better than previous versions.

You may need to force close all open apps, then restart the phone. If necessary, you may need to reset the phone after that.

When I open Thunderbird, I can not see the inbox window. When I click on the icon in my dock (Mac) it's checked like it's open but I can't see it.

This just started a couple of days ago, so not sure what I did. I also have to Force Quit to get Thunderbird to quit. When I click on the icon in the dock after it starts up the menu bar at the top is greyed out and it goes to Firefox not Thunderbird. Thanks for any help.

I am receiving emails, but nothing opens when I click the email icon

When I click the email icon, a blank email screen pops up for about 10 seconds, then shuts down and goes back to the main screen. I have restarted the iphone, closed the applications and even checked my emails online. Nothing seems to be working. Any Ideas?

Do a reset, hold down the home/power button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for your phone to boot back up. then check the emails.

I've got the latest OS update, no jailbreak, or anything exotic on my 4s. What's more, when I try to make a call 2 out of 3 times, the dumb SIRI opens up and stops me from making the call. (and, yes, I have very carefully checked my process that I am not intentionally activating SIRI with my cheek.)

Then the next step would be to restore your phone. My advice is that prior to restoring you import your photos and videos to your computer and back up your contacts (by syncing them with iCloud or to a supported program on your computer using iTunes) as a number of users report losing these when restoring their device.

Because the Ask Toolbar (a custom version I think) is sometimes installed (or offered to be installed) with other programs, such as Foxit Reader.

Firefox will not open when I click on the icon (OS X).

Firefox worked perfectly until I installed the most recent update. After I installed the update Firefox refused to open. When I click on the icon it begins to open but I never see the window and it closes within 3 seconds and I never even get an error message. Help!!!

I have tried the following with no luck.
*Uninstalling and deleting profile + profile.ini then reinstalling
*deleting the .parentlock file
*deleting and reinstalling version 3.6.8.dmg
*Checked the activity monitor that the application isn't listed as running
*Downloaded addtrap and uninstalled again
all with no luck.
Try some of these first as they might fix your problem but not mine! ;)
If anyone knows of something I may be missing I would appreciate any help.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

If that works post back for further advice.
Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

Try clicking GO in the menu bar/Go to folder in the pane enter ~/Library/Preferences/com,apple.mail.plist
Another way is to hold the OPTION key click GO in the menu bar>Library>Preferences, locate the the file com.apple.mail.plist
Drag this file to the trash (do not empty)
Quit Mail log out and reboot, see if that helps, if it does not you can drag the file from the trash and and replace it where it was. (it will probably give you a this file already exists, click replace)
Post back there may another thing to check.

When I click the stacking icon nothing happens

I have had this happen before but can't remember how I fixed it. In Grid or filmstrip, I have, for example, two images stacked. The icon in the image shows 2 images. When I click on the icon both images are not displayed. All I get is an icon that show 2. Click again and it shows 2. Click again and it will show 1 - which is the same image.
Any advice?

check if you have set an filter in the metadatabar (pick, color lable, etc). You can open / close stacks but only images that fullfil the filter will be displayed.

Ok, lets do a couple of steps here first:
To make sure your windows isn't corrupted because of the power outage, let's run chkdsk.
Click on My Computer, then right click your C: Drive (if you have other hard drives, you will want to run this on them as well). Then, click Properties. Inside that window, go to the Tools tab. Inside that tab, open up the "Check Now" button. That will open a smaller window. Select the checkbox to "Automatically fix file system errors", then hit Start. You will probably receive an error asking if you want to schedule the disk check, click Yes, then restart your computer.

After running the chkdsk, then please go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], and download a fresh version of Firefox. I'm assuming you are using Internet Explorer to download Firefox. Instead of hitting Run, let's try hitting save. Remember where it saves the installer file on your computer.
After the download has finished, double-click and run the Firefox install. Once it is finished, try to start Firefox up. Let me know how it goes!
