When i click on the download itunes 7.0 it just says thank you but...

it doesnt show up on my computer or show any change! What do i do at the thank you page or whatever

I found that this works if anyone actually is reading this:
1.go to control panel and click on add/remove hardware
2.find the itunes symbol that is coming out the box and hit [change]
3.click the one that says repair missing files and let it run its course
if that doesnt work for you then if you ever get it running then dont have that album scrolly thing at the top on it makes mine run way better
though every once in awhile it freezes for me so i still wont the frickn thing fixed

I suspect if you're trying to open a file in 08 that's been opened in 09 the file has been updated to 09 and will not open in 08.

I see. Not good. Does this happen when you click on it in the Dock? What about in your home folder? What about in the Finder sidebar?
Standard troubleshooting things to try:
* Hold command-r while starting up to get into Recovery Mode. Run DIsk Utility and "Repair Disk". (This is probably a good idea in any case because of the possible disk errors which could accumulate due to all the freezing.)
* Hold shift down while starting up to get into Safe Mode. Does the bad behavior persist while in Safe mode?

Open up the Adobe CC desktop application. There should be an Install or Try button, not a Download button, next to PS in the CC desktop app list.
It sounds like you’re using a browser with https://creative.adobe.com/products That page should work, too, but clicking the blue Download button is going to try to start up a program locally on your computer and you may have answered Disallow at some point in the past or you may have some internet security program that blocks such things so nothing is starting up.

I realize it takes some time to download but I do not see the status of it slowly downloading. I shut my computer down and rebooted and tried again with no success. The system (computer) requirements for Mavericks are posted on the web site. If your computer will handle it, you can update directly from OS X 10.7.

I had to re download itunes and i am on apple website but when i choose download it just says thank you for downloading and no download occurs does anyone know why?

What worked for me was to clear the browser cache and then try downloading again. Also, give it some time to download. I noticed that when the file was finally downloading, I still got the "thank you for having downloaded" page, even though the download was nowhere near complete yet.
(It didn't help to try downloading on IE instead of Firefox. Got the same "thank you" message on IE even though nothing was downloaded. I double-checked my downloads folder and I'm sure nothing was downloaded)

How do I re-enable open or save setting when I click on the download file?

My initial Firefox download setting was this: When I click on the link I would like to download, it asks me whether I want to '''open the file or save''' the file. Underneath, there was a check box to click on, in case you do not want the dialogue box to come up again. I clicked on the check box once, because I had to do a repeated download of a number of pictures. I would like to get back on 'asking open or save' dialogue box. I cannot find how to re-enable this function. Please help!

By the way, a few other things you probably know:
(1) The setting to keep the downloads list displayed after a download is here:

Check "Show the Downloads window..." and ''uncheck'' "Close it..."
(2) You can always show the list by pressing Ctrl+j
The mimeTypes.rdf file isn't particularly relevant to this problem; it affects what application Firefox uses to open a particular type of file.
However, there is a database file which stores your download history which might be corrupted. You could rename that file and have Firefox start building a new one.
(1) Open your personal settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder
Help (or Alt+h) > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
(2) Switch back to Firefox and exit the program (e.g., File > Exit)
(3) Wait a few moments for Firefox to finish updating files in your settings folder, then rename '''downloads.sqlite''' to something else, like downloads.old. Alternately, you can delete the file.
(4) You're done with your profile folder and you can restart Firefox now.
Any improvement?
