If you're certain that you have configured Firefox [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page correctly], and it's still not working, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Home page does not come up with IE launch

Windows XP IE 8 - The problem is that the home page will not come up when you launch IE. It shows "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". However, if you refresh the page THEN the home page is displayed. It is just the initial launch that is
a problem. IE 8 was installed with a recent windows update. Any ideas on what is causing the problem? I would like to fix it with group policy since we have about 2,000 devices to touch for this.

I am getting an FTP error message when publishing, it goes okay until it reaches home page. The home page does not appear correctly. Any help greatly appreciated

I have a website using iweb and am having problems publishing. When I try to publish it appears to be going through then stops at home page and I get an FTP error message. I talked to my website host and they checked it from their end on two brosers and it is fine. There suggestion was to contact this support group. They thought it had something to do with iweb code writing.

What version of iWeb are you using? What are you using to upload the site files to your FTP server?

What did they check? Have you tried viewing your site that's online to see if the changes went thru? Before you do so clear your browser's cache (Command+Option+E for Safari) and then load the site.

My default home page does not come up and my navigation bar is grayed out. I can't seem to fix it.

In the last few days, I have noticed that when I open my browser, I don't get my default home page, even though it shows under my options. When I conduct a search, I have navigation buttons, but once I open a page from the search engine results page, I have no navigation anymore. They are all grayed out.

When I first turn on Firefox, I only get a blank "new tab". It does not go to the Firefox Home Page. What URL do you have bookmarked as your home page? You might want to look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. There are steps in there to restore the home page to default. I would try that first to see if it clears up any strangeness. If that works, you can set the home page to anything you like.

Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy / paste: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store. Try purchasing Mountain Lion.

A few days a go I had installed iMesh, but FF took forever to load. I uninstalled iMesh and all my stored passwords were gone. I then did a system recovery. And everything was back to normal.

Since a few days we have a lot of crashes with [http://www.trusteer.com/product/trusteer-rapport Trusteer Rapport]. If you have this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the crashing. 
You can stop Rapport using Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport 
You can ask their helpdesk when an updated version of their product will be made available or, if you don't need this software, uninstall it.

If you do not have Rapport, then we need to have a crash report ID. When you send Mozilla a crash report it just puts it in a giant database. We have no way of looking it up without the Report ID. I have no idea what is wrong without looking up the crash report. Please get the Report ID of your latest crash report.

I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs. Why?

I applied a template to a page with SWFs and now that page does not play the SWFs (just a blank area where the SWF should be). When I detach the template it will play the flash file. This site will eventually be updated via Adobe Contribute. And I just discovered that when applying a template to a page that uses HTML datasets (Master/Detail),it no longer reads the Master/detail regions and displays a blank. Any thoughts?

Firstly, you shouldn't really 'apply' a template to a page, you should create a child page by going to FILE>NEW>Page from Template. Too many things can happen when applying a template the way you are doing it. eg:; editable and non-editable regions not matching up and being asked where to place these regions and in all likelihood, you end up with 2 or more of the same region.
When a swf file is inserted into a page, a corresponding Scripts folder is written automatically is stored in the root of the site - it is also linked to in the head of the document. What I believe is happening is that when you apply a template to the page, the Template has no idea that there is a swf file on the page and is not aware of the correct link to the Scripts folder. If you do a test and add the swf file to the template page itself, I bet that the links to the swf and the scripts folder are correct - because DW knows the correct path to the script file. Hence the reason the page probably works when you detach it from a template.
