If you're certain that you have configured Firefox [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page correctly], and it's still not working, it's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Right (Command) click on the iPhoto icon in the Dock and see if you can select Quit there or if you get an iPhoto not responding message. If you do get that message you'll have to the the  ➙ Force Quit... menu option then figure out why iPhoto is stalled.

Firefox won't open when I click on the icon. I've tried uninstalling so that I can reinstall, but it says I have to close firefox (which isn't open), so I'm stuck.

The problem: Firefox won't open when I click on the program.
Solutions tried: #1) I tried to uninstall the program so that I can download it again, but the screen shows the message "firefox must be clsoed.. to proceed with installation". However, firefox is not open.
#2) I tried to download firefox, thinking that possibly it would update and solve the problem. However, I get the same error message that "firefox must be clsoed.. to proceed with installation" Problem is that firefox is not open.
I've done a screen shot, so you can see that I do not have the firefox browser open.

Given that the problem cropped up right after updating OS X on two separate machines, it's looking to me like it's just a bug that needs squashing at this point.

Make a temporary, backup copy of the library and try the following:
launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
select the options identified in the screenshot.

Launch iPhoto and try importing again.

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus it would be up to Adobe to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, something which they have never managed to do and which they have now given up on trying to do.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Puffin 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so your could try checking there for your sites (and there is the built-in YouTube app).

Unable to add a printer. When I click on the "Add Printer" button, nothing happens.

I have IE9 on Windows 7 PC. I have compared my Internet options with another PC and it does not seem to have this issue. Any suggestions?
NOTE: Please don't suggest changing browsers. That is a work-around not a solution.

Clicking the Add a Printer actually not much related with any web browser but more with the operating system functionaity.
I would suggest you to try updating windows by running Windows Update, reboot the PC and check for any change.
Also make sure the Print Spooler Service is running:
Click the Start button and typr run into the search box.
Open the Run Application within the results.
Type net start spooler, then click OK
You should see a black dialog for a single moment.
Next go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and try adding a printer again,
If the option still not function I would recommend you to contact Microsoft support as the problem relies within the operating system and not within the HP software.

Itunes crashes when i click on the music store button

any solutions? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the itunes and ipod software.

Problem solved. After removing every single file related to iTunes.....throwing them away. Re-Downloading iTunes again I was ultimately able to get iTunes fully functional. I had to replace the xml files from the folder containing the music from a previous back up. Once that was done iTunes worked but was missing music purchased after that last back up. Fortunately, the new "download from the cloud" feature restore the purchases that were missing. Pain in the rear that iTunes didn't work but kudos for being able to download the missing purchased items from the cloud!

When I click on the Menu or Choose the Drop down for CC, it doesn't show the options

I've been having this issue for a while now since the last update. When I click on the top nav options or try to select "CC" or "BCC" when creating an email. The outline of the dropdown box shows, however the listed options don't show or it takes a minute for them to show. I have attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing. I typed out a sentence and right clicked, but the options don't appear, only the outline of a box.

I don't see any "highlight" moving up and down. Sometimes I have to guesstimate where the "paste without formatting" is, so I know the text is there and clickable. Sometimes the text does show, but it takes a WHILE.

How do I get Firefox to open in a new tab (instead of a new window) when I click on one of my buttons in my toolbar?

Right click the FireFox button in your toolbar and look in the properties- middle tab...make sure that it only has "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" with no other link added to the end. I had a similar problem this morning and found a website had attached it's link to the end so it would always pop up first and would only open a new tab.

I came up with an alternative solution.
Instead of actually trying to move the JInternalFrame from one JDesktopPane to another, I added a single, maximized JInternalFrame to the left side. When one of the right side frames is to be docked, I merely copy its ContentPane to the single JInternalFrame on the left, set the original to be non-visible, and adjust the properties of the JSplitPane to make the "docked" frame appear.
When the "close" button on the docked frame is pressed, I simply undo this procedure to "undock" the frame and redisplay it on the right-hand side (with its content intact from the docked frame, but in its original position).

New Tab doesn't open when I click on the + sign or even try to open over the Menu command

Currently I can't open a New Tab even when I click on the + sign or try to open over the Menu command. The only way that it opens is when I browse over the link and click with the right mouse button. What do I need to do specifically to open a blank New Tab either by clicking the +sign next to an already open Tab and/over the Menu command.

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
*If you have many extensions then first enable half of the extensions to test which half has the problem.
*Continue to divide the bad half that still has the issue until you find which one is causing it.
