When i click to open a link a blank screen pops up that says search bookmarks and history.
I open firefox to play games on yahoo home page. Click game, then click spades, then click the table to play at and the window opens but it is blank and says at the top of it "search bookmarks and history." This happens on my lap top but on my desktop it doesnot happen.

Example: when in my on line banking site I want to access older statements I press the prompt and a full blank page stating "search Bookmarks and History" pop up and I cannot access what I requested.
This happens on many sites, I do believe it may be something I accidentally changed.
How do I reset the program to correct this problem?
And if I just have to reload the program itself how do I insure my bookmarks will not be deleted?If links are JavaScript type of links (onclick or href="javascript:")then you have to left-click such a link.

Using Firefox to search a web page.
When I click on a picture to enlarge it on a web page ( any webpage),a new blank page opens with nothing.It only says" search bookmarks and history".
What do I have to do to view an enlarged view ? What settings do i have to enable in firefox.

Sometimes, when I click a link on a web page, I see in the address bar the words: "Search bookmarks and history" (greyed out) just before I am taken to the link I clicked. When I click a link it goes to a new window Search Bookmarks and History
I have clicked several different links on webpages and the link keeps taking me to a new window that would allow me to Search Bookmarks and History. It seems to be random but certain links go to the new window every time.

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an Open with download window.<br />
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.

When I try to connect to a link I receive the message "Search bookmarks and history" and FF won't connect to the link requested. VER FF 3.6.6. Windows7; 64 bit.
I have currently FF 3.6.8 running under Windows XP 32 bit. I am using Multiproxy Switch ver 1.33 add-on to switch between multiple proxies.
My FF starting page is http://www.google.com/ncr . When I start Firefox and the actually configured proxy is unreachable, I get the usual message that the page cannot be opened ("Try again"). Then I switch to another proxy or to direct connection. Normally the desired page (google) opens. But in case I switch the proxy before the error message appears, this grayed message "Search Bookmarks and History" appears instead of the URL in the URL input field and I have to retype the URL.
Remark: I would really like to have this function "Searching Bookmarks and History" available in Firefox, because I often do this kind of search and need 4 clicks to get there (Bookmarks-Organize Bookmarks-Bookmarks Menu-and then input my search criteria). -
My Apple Macbook hard drive crashed and I had to replace. Now trying to reload CS5 and having issues. When I click download from Adobe download page, a screen pops up saying "Access Denied". I have serial number, but don't even get to a page to enter. Please help…Thanks!!
Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache. If it continues to fail try using a different browser.

I just bought aperture and downloaded it from app store. when I try to open the app I get a warning message that says: There was an error opening the database for the library “~/Pictures/Aperture Library.aplibrary”. The only option the is to quit. What is wrong?

not sure what the problem might be, but you can try the following:
While pressing ALT+CMD on the keyboard, click on the Aperture icon in the dock: Aperture then opens in a special "recovery mode", and you're prompted to choose what kind of repair you need: Repair Permissions / Repair Database / Rebuild Database
Considering the situation, I'd recommend you to try "the "Repair Permissions" option first.
If that isn't enough (and it may well be the case), then go straight for the "Rebuild Database" option; it's a non-destructive opration anyway, but since you've just installed Aperture you shouldn't have anything valuable in the default library...
NOTE: if you do have some pictures in the library, instead, do a backup first! Time Machine is your friend
Another option would be to launch Aperture while keeping only the ALT (option) key pressed: Aperture will ask you what library you want to open, or you can choose to create a new one from scratch.

When a pop up window comes up it is - search bookmarks and history window! I cannot log into my bank as login button should open new window to log in but I get the search page. I cannot see larger images as again I get the search bookmarks and history page etc. Happens on all options that should open new page. This also happened at a bookseller's website, when I clicked on the photo of a book to enlarge it. Instead of showing me an enlargement, it took me to the same blank screen with the title bar, "Mozilla Firefox", and below it another bar with the words "Search Bookmarks and History," both at the top left of the screen. This has happened repeatedly at the two websites I have mentioned. When I went to the same sites using Internet Explorer, the error didn't occur. I did a Microsoft system restore for a previous restore point, but it still did not eliminate this glitch.
