When I click to open firefox, about 20 browsers come up. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem. What can I do?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

If you don't need some / all of those toolbars, consider leaving them disabled.
You can probably remove these toolbars permanently from Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. -
i had to take my photoshop file into a hardrive because my dad was going to give me a new Mac and when things didn't work out and went back to my old one i use the time capsule thing to save everything before but didn't give me photoshop so i physically moved the file and tried to open it but then this error shows up

Is there a way to uninstall and reinstall Facetime on Mac ? The present version simply doesn't work. It shows me no "Contacts'. Infact once I click Next after I login, nothing at all happens. The video works fine though, I can see ,myself. But I have used Facetime a couple of times in the past from this same MAC.
Hence I wanna know if there's a way to uninstall and reinstall Facetime. Infact it doesn't even allow me to uninstall Facetime , every time I try it says, 'your Mac OS X needs Facetime'. PLEASE HELP !!!deltajane wrote:

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.

Actually... I take it back. I TRIED to update to 16.0.2, but I keep getting the error message that Firefox must be closed first. I'm using Chrome to send these messages, and have also closed iTunes, in case that was contributing to the problem. No use... I can't install the upgrade.

Spent many hours trying different things to fix it. Uninstall of previous version and reinstall did not make any difference. Finally, after uninstalling Firefox, I searched for Firefox folders and files on my computer, deleted and removed all Firefox folders and files - deleted anything and everything related to Firefox so that it will be as if I was going to download Firefox for the first time ever. Then, using another browser, I downloaded Firefox 3.6.8 and installed it. It could be that some Add-Ons or something else from the older version of Firefox or profile was interfering with the new one. It was easier to delete remove everything and install all over again clean than to figure out which part was causing the problem.
Keep in mind, when you delete all Firefox folders and files from your computer, you are deleting all your bookmarks and all your Add-ons. If you want to keep those bookmarks, you might want to save the URLs someplace safe to bookmark them again before deleting them. You need to re-install the Add-ons also. Upon installation, it asks if you want to import bookmarks and settings from another browser or settings you might have. I imported them from my other browser. Now, Firefox works. I also installed up-to-date Add-ons.
I hope this helps. Always keep more than one browser functioning on your computer, just in case one fails. -

I'm using XP sp3, fully patched with the current version of firefox 3. 6.12. I have 4 gb memory and a 250 gb hard drive. Most of which is all free, so I have lots of memory and hard drive space. I was using firefox and everything was working fine. I shut it down and when I went back later, it would not open at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, renamed the user acct, followed all directions I could find and firefox will not open. I've run all kinds of scans on my computer for viruses or malware and found nothing. Everytime I try to open firefox, I get the crash reporter and it will not open at all. I would appreciate some help. I don't know what else to try. I use firefox as my default browser.

I updated my Itunes the other day and now, when clicking on the itunes icon, the program does not open?? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, resetting the computer, checking permissions, running as adminstrator.. nothing is working?? Help!!
Amazing steps you've done so far! The great news is this is very unlikely an issue with your iPhone.
I've run into a similar issue lately as well. I narrowed it down to one song that was causing 30 songs not to sync. I removed the song from the sync list (unchecked it) and all 29 songs were able to sync.
You may be running into a similar issue. This may be a problem with this version of iTunes, an issue with one song or a group of songs; hard to know for sure. It's important to narrow down and isolate the cause. Most imporantly get that music back on there!
The way to narrow down the casue add just a few songs at a time (even 1, just to get that first sync finished). Manually syncing is what you'll need here.
Plug in your iPhone, on the Summary screen (shows a picture of your iPhone, the iOS version, Restore iPhone....; etc). Under the Options area at the bottom choose to Manually Manage Videos and Music then choose Apply in the lower right. The music that's on your iPhone now should be removed from your iPhone now. You're now able to sync music manually.
The link below explains how to drag the songs from the iTunes library on the computer on to your iPhone which will start the sync. Add just one song just to see if you can get 1 of those hundreds of songs on there. If you can, awesome! Keep adding until you find the song or group of songs that are causing this issue.

Pages is "not responding" when I try to open any document on a Lion Operating System, Macbook Pro. What can I do?
Ah then that is the issue.
1. Is Pages registered? It turns into a demo version after 3months otherwise.
2. This makes it interesting as to what happens if it has, because a demo version can't/won't save and I'm curious if this causes a bug in the ever so wonderfully thought through process of versioning in Lion
3. There may actually be a problem with one of the documents which again causes a bug in the ever so wonderfully thought through process of versioning in Lion
4. You are entitled to AppleCare telephone support to try ands resolve this in detail which is difficult to do without seeing what is actually going on because there are multiple files involoved
5. Which raises the issue of does it freeze consistently on hitting a certain document? In which case moving or archiving that document may get Pages to actually launch

I was browsing in Firefox v6.0 last night and all of a sudden it closed with no notice or error message. When I tried to open FF I received the messaga; We're Sorry - Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts." I does not restart. I have been using IE to browse for a solution and nothing works other than opening as administrator. Now this problem is only on one of my laptops and is fine on my desktop and other laptops so it appears to be something specific to my laptop which is running Window XP Home and Service Pack 3.
Some suggestions were to change the profile (did not work), end the firefox.exe process in task manager (not running in processes) and delete an xpicleanup.exe (not listed).
The only thing that works is to run as administrator but I have to do this everytime. Is ther a solution?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with a QuickTime program file there.
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "QuickTime" and then click "Repair".
Does the repair go through okay? If so, are you able to launch iTunes and/or Safari now? -
When I try to open Firefox, it won't let me and says my profile was deleted
I've been having problems with the rainbow wait button would spin and spin when I opened any new website or tried to do anything on a website. I looked through the help menus and thought that I was doing the right thing. I changed my profile folder name to places.sqlite.old and updated Firefox. Now when I try to open it, it won't let me and says that my profile was deleted.
You will have to delete the profiles.ini file to force a new profile or restore the old profile name to the name listed in the profiles.ini

I tried to update to the most recent version of itunes but the update failed. Now when I try to open itunes I get a dialog box telling me it can,t open because MSVCR80.dll is missing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes but I grt the same message. What can I do to fix this?

You may be required to boot into safe mode to complete the folder deletion process.
