When I close my iPad it dosent really close it stays open and when I reopen it it goes to home
When I close my iPad it dosent really close it stays open and when I re-open it it goes immidiatly goes on home and my home button dosent work
I'm sorry, but I don't know what you mean by closing your iPad. Are you talking about shutting it down? Powering off?
And you say when you close it it doesn't stay closed and when you reopen it ??? If it doesn't stay closed....Whatever that is - how can it possibly reopen? It already is open based on what you are saying.
You also make it sound like the iPad is crashing and you are saying that the home button doesn't work. Do those two things have something to do with one another? -
I did a restore settings for my iTouch which wiped out the apps. What happens when I sync my iPad? Will I lose all the apps on the iPad? I realize it was a huge mistake to mess with the settings on the iTouch.
Completely seperate.

When I opened my ipad cover the keyboard was up and locked so no other screen is accessible. It was not up when I closed it earlier. How do I get the keyboard unlocked and down?
You could press the keyboard down button (shown bellow), or hold it if its not going down. OR Hold the power button for about 8 seconds until it asks you if you want to reset (slide to unlock). OR switch the little switch located on the side of your ipad (shown Below)

Kernal Panic when i close macbook to put it to sleep
HELP!
I have gotten this a few times, it seems to only happen when i close my macbook cover as if I am putting it to sleep. I notice that the apple light on top is still illuminated and doesn't appear to be sleeping - when I open it there is the Kernal Panic message to restart my computer.
I have pasted the text from my Libraby>Logs>PanicReporter folder below...

HT4059 I use the bookmark option and after I close the iPad it opens up on the first bookmark I used
I read on my iBook, I mark a bookmark, when I close my iPad, after I come back, it opens up at my first bookmark I used.
I'm not sure if I am having the same problem or just a similar problem. Lately when I open a book in iBooks it automatically opens not to the page where the bookmark is, but so e earlier page. Not certain if it is opening to a random page or a previously bookmarked page.
It happens on my iPad 2, iOS 6.0.1. In Settings sync Bookmarks is set to "on" and I use iCloud to sync devices as well as plugging in to iTunes on my Mac almost daily to make back ups. I don't tend to open iBooks on my iPhone 4S, but it is set to sync anyway. -
My iTunes freezes when trying to sync iPad
This appears to be happening when I open iTunes on my iMac and it attempts to connect and sync to either iPad in the house. If the iPads are off and they don't try to connect, iTunes opens and works normal. When I turn the iPads on and the attempt to connect wirelessly, then iTunes freezes. This only began after the last update. Can anyone help me?

When I close the cover - it really does take a picture and saves a photo. Luckly, it make a click, and pictures are seen in the photo album, and it does not appear to be forwarding. It is just gobbling memory and annoying as I can only delete these pictures one at a time.
It seems to take a picture of the counter top = I do not see the keyboard.
I am wondering ....It may be a kids game app that takes pictures of the screen or out the back camera. I am starting to think it may just be a sound effect when placing the iPad on its screen. So many things that may be unrelated but coincedental. It started in May (the sound) and so did the multiple pictures - starting to think they are not related.
Thanks for the quick tip on deleting multiple pictures. -
Why can I not hear my iPad 2 "click"off when I close cover
Why can I not hear my iPad 2 "click"off when I close cover
Hi you are not going to believe this but under "ringer and alerts" I decided to increase the level of sound (was set half way) once I did that it was like it "released" it!! The cover now clicks off even when I returned setting back to original place.
Thanks so much for your hep. -
Why doesn't my iPad turnoff when I close the cover with ios 7?
With the new ios 7, my cover no longer turns off my iPad when I close it. It's the only reason I bought the stupid thing. Is there a way to turn teh feature back on?
I was having this problem after using a Logitech solar bluetooth keyboard pad while travelling only with an iPad. The magnet on the Logitech is only marginally strong enough and you have to be careful to get the alignment of the closed cover correct to switch off, so it may have been flicking between switching off and not switching off. After a while it stopped switching off at all and when on my return, I reverted to the normal Apple cover, the switch off was not working on that either, even though it was turned on in General Settings. I did a "reset all" in General, followed by a reboot and that has cured the problem, both with the Apple and Logitech covers.

Ipad won't shutdown when I close case
Hi,
I just upgraded (downgraded?) to ios 7.0.3 and now when I close my case it does nto shut off. It worked fine before the upgrade. Has anyone else had this problem and/or know a fix?
Thanks,
BernardThanks. I suppose Settings -> General -> IPad Cover Lock / Unlock was too clear so they had to obscure it to make it harder to figure out.

Why is there a clicking sound when I close the cover and enter sleep mode?
why is there a clicking sound when I close the cover and enter sleep mode?
Hi katesvca,
I too have an iPad smart cover, and all that clicking sound is is basically the standard lock sound for iOS. The Smart cover is equipped with magnets inside, and the iPad is also equipped with magnets, and when those magnets are closed together the iPad goes to sleep.
I hope this answers your question.
