When I close my laptop and open it up later it doesnt come on like it used to.
The power light is on but the screen wont come up. I have to hold the power button to restart it.

Firefox 8.0.1 on mac - when i close my laptop then open it, pages don't load and i can't use tabs
I have firefox 8.0.1 and am using a macbook pro. For some reason, after I close my laptop, when I open it again firefox starts having problems. If I had multiple tabs open I can't switch between tabs or close them, and I can't open new tabs. Also, the pages don't load right.
I got CleanMyMac and used it to uninstall firefox, then I reinstalled firefox and this did not fix the problem.If you see "Remember history" then you have the default and that should mean that remember form data is selected.<br />
You can verify that via the custom settings choice.<br />
That choice won't stay selected if all settings have the default value like I wrote above, so in such a case it is merely for inspection or to make it possible to make changes to the default settings.
If Firefox isn't storing form data despite that the remember form data setting is selected then there can be a problem with the formhistory.sqlite file that stores form data.
Rename or delete formhistory.sqlite (plus formhistory.sqlite-journal and formhistory.sqlite.corrupt, if they exist) in the Firefox Profile Folder in case there is a problem with the file that stores the "Saved Form" data.<br />
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
That will remove all saved form data, so you may want to rename formhistory.sqlite to formhistory.sqlite.sav or move the file to another folder in case you need to recover some saved data.
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files. -
Before I attempted using the 'groups tab' function for the first time, there was no icon (unlike currently). There is now the icon with for the function yet I am unable to remove it or its function.
Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder and desktop shortcut before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

Firefox 4 closes the current tab when I close the laptop - why?
I've just upgraded to firefox 4. Now when I close the laptop the open tab disappears. This never happened with the older version.

Screen wont shut off when I close the laptop after fresh install (L512)
So I recently replaced the hard drive in an lenovo L512 with an i3. I've updated windows completely and installed I believe most of the drivers. Everything seems to be functioning perfectly. The only thing is when I close the laptop. The display does not shut off. Is there a driver I am missing? I am running windows 7 professional x64. completely legitimate copy with the original key from the laptop. Thanks for any help!

Sometimes I am locked in "day" view in iCal. There is no where on the screen to choose "month" view, even when I close it out and open again. Tapping anywhere on the screen or scrolling doesn't help.
Give this a try:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try full screen again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox. -
when i connect my iphone to my laptop and open itunes it shows my iphone has nothing on it(no music, no movies, etc...) then when i try to sync it says iphone is is full and can only put in a selected amount of songs. Take in mind this is my first time to sync with this laptop(HP 15 ENVY) and as well my laptop is just brand new. just got it a week ago. so how do i fix this prob. and also when i open my itunes store and then view my account it says error occurred either debug it through Microsoft visual studio or close program. I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help
I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. So, normally when I close my laptop after usage (putting it in sleep mode) it will automatically log it out of the account I am using. Whenever I want to go back into it, I have to type in my password before getting back in. However, every time I now open it, I don't have to type in any password; I am already logged into the account I was using before I had closed my laptop. Why is this happening? And how do I get this to stop?
Any help would be appreciated!!

when i close firefox at any page and also when i close my pc and then i open the program i find it open on last page which i closed at ,, although i made home page for it to open at and it doesn't make the order
Check in preferences > general > Startup: Do you have "Show my windows and tabs from last time" selected? If so change to "Show my home page" (or blank page).
Note: this may happen when quitting Firefox, and you inadvertently click "Save and Quit" and select "Do not ask next time". -

my Macbook Pro (OSX 10.6.7 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo) has started misbehaving on me. When I'm working, the cursor will start spontaneously moving to the in a straight line, and randomly right clicking on things.

It sounds like you are trying to use your MacBook Pro with a Thunderbolt Display in closed clamshell mode (MacBook Pro closed), but sometimes the display doesn't stay on. I found an article that talks about closed clamshell mode. You would have to fulfill the following requirements to use your display this way:
