When I connect my Iphone to the computer w/ USB cable nothing happens..
I am unable to connect my Iphone to my laptop. After the laptop having to be restored, I am now unable to get my Iphone to sync to my laptop. It will work with the other laptop but that is used for business purposes so the USB cable does work.. Right now I have no music on my Iphone. Somehow all my music is gone. Please help!! I did reboot my computer and turn my phone off and then back on... My phone is also almost fully charged. All software is up to date also.
Yes I did.. Everything is ready. Just when I plug the cable into the phone and the computer nothing will happen.. When I plug it into our "business" laptop immediately it will show that it is connected... With this laptop I am using now, nothing happens..

I must mention that connecting the phone and accesing it as a camera worked before but at some point it didn't and i keep recieving this mtp driver error. In iTunes 11 you have the option to turn the Sidebar and the Status Bar on or off; they are off by default. To do this in the menus, go to:

I have the iphone 5S and it doesn't seem to even connect to my macbook because when i connect it to my phone, a message on my laptop shows that I have to install he new version of itunes on my phone. How on earth do I do that??? I Already have the latest version of itunes installed on my laptop already.
It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

I turned my iphone off when visiting the doctor's surgery and now it won't turn back on. It had 73% battery left and I have tried connecting it to my computer with USB but nothing happens. I have taken out and replaced the sim card too. Any suggestions
If wjosten's tip doesn't work try plugging it into a USB charger (not through your computer), wait about 30 seconds and it should come on. If it doesn't remove the cord from the phone and keep trying this. I've had this same issue and found a combination of the reset & charging cable tends to work. Sometimes it takes about 5 minutes for the phone to respond.

When I plug my iphone into the computer to restore it I receive a "network connection timed out" message. However, when I plug in other iphones or ipod touches I can connect fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Try a powered external USB hub. It uses a 120V AC wall jack to power USB devices, and the Mac only needs to provide *just enough* to comminucate. Best Buy, Target, Walmart, ... about $20.

Before you connect to a new PC, make sure that autosync is disabled in Edit/Preferences/Devices, otherwise your phone will be wiped during the following sync.
If you have data on the phone you want to save, back up manually:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your phone without syncing. Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards. Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the phone for the first time.
Since changing your iTunes library will erase your phone again, do the same process when you change back to your normal PC.

When connecting my iphone to the computer, all goes well with the sync until the last step. Step 6. It says "waiting for changes to be applied" and won't complete the sync!! anyone know how to rectify.

Just updated to IOS 7 and two issues:
First when I connect my iPhone to my computer I get this error message:itunes was unable to provider data from sync services". I'm not sure what this really means...
The second issue is when I try to select "Manually Manage Music"
The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes libary on "MY-PC". Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library."
So... I don't want to do that, but I do what to be able to Manage my music. I'm not sure what it means by being synced to another iTunes unless it means to an older version of itunes?
Anyone have any ideas?I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. I connected my iphone to the computer after my husband had been in itunes with his iphone, when i connected my phone I lost all my info, photo's calendar, contacts etc, and my husbands info was downloaded on to my phone. how do I retrieve my info and get rid of his.
are you using icloud? if so try to log in on your phonre using your apple id not your husbands.

Download the free app My Contacts Backup and use it to back up the contacts on your device now (it will back them up as an attachment to an email that you send to yourself). Then restore your device to your most recent backup to see if it will recover your contacts. If not, if necessary you can open the email and tap the attachment to re-import the contacts you have now back to your device.
If you need to restore to an iCloud backup this has to be done in the initial setup process, which requires you to first erase your device. If you have any more recent data on your device now that is not in the backup that you want to save you'll need to do that first. Then go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. You will then go through the setup screens on your device, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below). Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this will take some time to finish.
