When i connect my nano it says unknown error -53 anyone know what to do?
When i connect ,my nano (been in a drawer for several months) i get an unknown error message -53. Has anyone else gotten this? do you know what to do?

try to restore in itunes bye putting in recovey mode turn the ipod off press the home button and plug in the ipod into the computer. an itunes shuld see it in recovery mode and click restore. and that should do the trick.

I just repaired my sons ipod touch and it is passcode protected and he dosent remember the passcode and it says to go to itunes and that does nothing does anyone know what I can do?

Trying to do both at the same time? Try updating the apps first. Maybe one at a time. Then try buying the movie.
First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem. -

Do you get a specific error mesaage? If so, what is the message?
Have you tried updating with iTunes on a computer? If you do that, disable your firewall and antivirus software while you are trying to update.
if you don't have a computer, try resetting your router and the iPad and then try the update again.
Unplug the router from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
hi, i have to reset an ipad from work which belonged to another employee. It says on the screen that it is disabled and connect to itunes but when i try to connect it says error i need the passcode, can anyone help?

Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.
