Can't copy file with # in name to Panther server

I have this problem with any file that has a "#" in its name, which is fairly common on Mac OS X , I think (the result of certain programs truncating the name)
For example, from a computer running Panther, I can copy the file "list all movies in path copy#12345.app" up to any share on the server.
From a computer running Tiger, I can copy the same file up to any share except one that's named "Backup2". When I try to copy up to that, I get the message "The operation is not permitted because you do not have sufficient priveleges for some of the items". I've checked and re-checked, all the permissions are fine.
It's almost like "Backup2" is acting like a a samba share and restricting the name. "Backup2" has exactly the same settings as the other shares, but it's the only share with a number in it's name.
The Tiger clients are running 10.4.3, the server is a G5 xserve running 10.3.9 server, with an xraid. The shares are on the xraid.
Any thoughts on why this would happen?

Apple "support" has so far done nothing to help me resolve this, after telling me that they were escalating it to a higher level of support.
My theory is this: One of my XRAID controllers died. When Apple's on-site service came to replace it, they didn't properly seat the new one, which resulted in my losing the right hand array. After reseating it, I had to re-initialize the right hand (lower controller) array and restore my data. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the replacement controller had an older firmware rev. I upated it later, but my belief is that I will need to re-initialize it for this problem to go away. I haven't been able to do that yet, because it will take me around 3 days to restore 1.3 TB of data.

This is a problem I have had for some time now and I posted it earlier in the forum and am just wondering if someone might now have an answer.
After a restart I cannot access or do anything until I double click an alias I made of a folder on our Windows 2003 server (I then have to enter my password).
If I double click on any icons or items in the dock before I do this, I get a white window in the center of my screen with nothing in it that looks like it might be the same size as the window I get when I normally connect to our server, then I have to force quit the Finder.
I have done all of the regular maintenence proceedures, permission repairs, DiskWarrior etc, and I still have this problem.
It is a slight annoyance I can deal with, but other people sometimes use this machine and if they have to restart it, it causes mild panic.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

After trying some different things, I discovered that if I remove one particular network folder alias from the Preview Pane, the problem goes away. I still have four more network folder aliases from the very same server in the Preview Pane.
My problem is, I use that particular alias more than just about anything else on the machine and this has worked flawlessly since March of 2004.
Maybe this will shed some light on my problem.

I guess you're using "TCP Wait on Listener" on the server. This returns the remote address and port (as optional outputs).

iOS 7 will give errors on non Apple certified peripherals. So make sure you only use Apple certified products. Did you backup the phone and then RESTORE AS NEW (not reset)? Try doing that by plugging the phone to iTunes on a computer. See if that helps. If it solves the problem, there could have been corrupted software on you phone. If not, it could be a hardware issue (including the battery), in which case you would need to go to a Apple Store or authorized service provider.

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

Sometimes it can be something very simple and easy to fix. Before you get into any involved troubleshooting, quit iTunes, restart your Mac, restart your iPad and then try to sync again.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If this doesn't work, then try the more involved stuff.

Just read that someone had the same problem on 3gs and someone had replied to press the home button and power button at same time, so I tried this and within a few seconds my phone had switched itself back on.

Can't copy file from SAP-directory to FTP server

Hello,
I can't copy files from the SAP server to the FTP server. The file is created with OPEN DATASET and CLOSE DATASET commands and is placed in the SAP-directory S:\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMBGS00\work.
I can see and read the file with transaction al11, so I know it's there.
But the FTP command always gives the same error:
S:\usr\sap\DEV\DVEBMBGS00\work\[FILENAME] errno 22: invalid argument
I can connect to the FTP, but the put command keeps failing. Somehow, the file in the SAP directory can't be read, it seems, even when

Ok, I found out that I have to use SAPFTPA as RFC destination type, instead of SAPFTP, otherwise the folders can't be located.
But with SAPFTPA I can't seem to connect to the FTP server. I've tested the connection with sm59 and it works, but for the FTP it doesn't work. When I use SAPFTP as destination type, it still works.
What can I do?

Following upgrade to Yosemite I now can't copy files from iMac to my network HDD in external media center. I have iMac connected by wi-fi to airport extreme and media center connected to airport extreme by cable. I can see the HDD as a network drive on my iMac and can initiate the copy but right when copy process is finished I see "The operation can’t be completed because the [Filename] is in use". I am trying to copy different media files downloaded from internet which are not used by any program and stored on my hard drive. I actually can copy small files of 1mb and it works but anything above 20mb is halted. I can also move/copy/delete the file on iMac. Cant understand the nature of the problem. I tried to format external HDD as EXT2/EXT3/NTFS but same outcome.

Have you tried a restart or logging out/in?
