When I connected my iPhone5 to update Operating system it is not recognizing and wants to restore default settings which will wipe out photos
When I connect my iPhone5 to my PC it is not being recognized as in the past and wants to restore factory default settings. I don't want to lose photo and video files stored in the phone but I cant transfer them to my PC either - help.

Hi, I have connected my iPhone 5 to iTunes, backed it up and then started the update but there was a problem, now my phone will not work, it asks to restore factory settings which I have tried 3 times, each time it says the device has an unknown error and the phone switches off. Please help.
Same thing happened with my iPhone 4S - no one is any help. Thanks Apple for such a crappy update! I've called Apple, they say the SIM card needs replacing, I go to my service provider they tell me nothing wrong with the SIM card - provider tells me I now need a new phone. Sheesh! If someone has a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 3G plugged into PC(Windows 7) 'USB is Not Recognized' and unable to restore; stuck on 'Connect to iTunes'
I was in the process of putting another firmware for my iPhone(an .ipsw via. itunes) and the house had a power cut. The computer was in the middle of restoring the iPhone but never finished. The apple logo came on and then came onto the 'connect to itunes' screen. My sim card was in but there is no option to slide for emergency. When I Plug it into my computer, a message pops up saying that the 'USB Device Not Recognized', I've tried to plugging my iPhone into my laptop and other Computers but the same message occurs (all windows 7). Other articles say that the error is with the iPhone, I need help!! Can anybody offer some advice on what to do?

I wanted to download Dreamweaver from the Adobe website. My computer runs on Windows 7, which is listed as an acceptable operating system on the same webpage. However, when I click 'download', I get an error saying that my operating system is not compatible with dreamweaver. I had this problem using both Iron and Firefox as a browser. Does anyone recognize this problem and/or know the solution?

Could you please download CC desktop from the link: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud, sign in with your Adobe Id and try to download/Install Dreamweaver. Attempting to upgrade operating system. Disc not recognized.
I went into the system preferences and changed the network startup disc from 10.3 folder to select at startup. Then I restarted. Now I have a grey screen with a blinking image of what looks like a blue globe. Keep in mind that I did make several other attempts such as restarting with the disc in it and holding down the c button which did not work. I also went into the disc utility and noticed that it was not mounting the external hard drive either. What is weird is that we purchased two of these from the same owner, and I had no issues with the other power pc. I need help!

No such Mac can use OS X 10.3 in any manner. Please go to the "My Settings" link in the right sidebar. Enter your exact Computer Model and Operating System version. If that won't work, perhaps you can use Find my iPhone from a computer in your iCloud.com account to erase the device.

This has nothing to do with the Find my iPhone app being installed on the phone, but you do have to have Find my iPhone activated in the iCloud settings on the phone. -
So I had an iPod touch and everything with it is fine. I just bought a second one for my daughter...exactly the same as my iPod. This second one was bought used, but was reset completely before I plugged it into my computer. My problem is... my iTunes does not recognize the second touch as a device! I can't get it to sync, so I can't get any music or anything onto the device. How can I have two iPod touches on my computer? Is there something special that I have to do to get my computer to recognize this second touch as a different device?? PLEASE HELP!!!
- If you are using the same USB port and the same cable and have iTunes version 10.7 or later on the computer there is something wrong with the iPod.
- Does the second iPod work?

Try this:
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

I have the 64bit version of itunes on windows 7. When I connect my iphone5 it says that I don't have the correct software and that I need to install itunes 64bit! And I can go no further! I've uninstalled and reinstalled but it makes no difference. I have no access to other computers so at the moment I don't have a backup for my iphone should anything go wrong.

It sounds like you have installed the 64 bit version of iTunes, but you continue to the get an error message that suggests to download the 64 bit version any time you connect your iPhone 5. I understand that you have already uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, but sometimes you may need to uninstall additional components related to iTunes to completely remove it from your system.
I recommend following the steps in this article to completely uninstall iTunes:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Once you have completely uninstalled iTunes, you can download the 65 bit version of iTunes for Windows here:

I have a 2nd generation iPod touch. I have not updated the software from version 2.2.1. When I connect to iTunes to update to 4.2, I keep getting an error message. Has anyone else had this issue and figured out a way to fix it?

Attempt to restore your iOS device two more times. If the issue is still unresolved, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Not much you can do. You overwrote your current data with older data when you restored the phone from that backup. Your data's gone.

I updated operating system to OS X Yosemite, also updated pages. Now when I try to open files I am told to update pages
You have both Pages 5.5.2 and your older version of Pages on your Mac .
Pages 5.5.2 ids in your Applications folder.
Pages '08/'09 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
When you double click on a file either version may open, but usually the older, and it can not open files from the newer version.
Right click on the file instead and choose which version to open from.

Hello, I created new Web service client using WL 8.1, axis 1.4 , JDK 1.4.2 . The Service is hosted by my vendor and it's on asp/.net. I used axis to create stub implemetation and when i invoke the service , i get the following error . I googled out t
