This began happening several months ago. Calls to my broadband provider and work on modem did not solve the problem. I completely recovered my computer and reinstalled everything. At first everything seemed OK. Now it has happened again several times.
For the list of teachers there are email addresses in the right hand column, did you click on an email address?
If you did that could explain the multiple tabs being opened. What may have happened is you have the mailto protocol set to open Firefox which results in 100s of tabs opening when you click on an email address. For details on fixing that see [[Firefox keeps opening many tabs or windows]], in particular the section on "Change the action for a content type". My guess is you will find mailto is set to "Use Firefox". -
When i try to open week cal it loads and then closes after a few seconds...I have checked for updates, turned the phone off then on, closed out of the app and then opened it again...nothing works! I have thought about deleting the app from my phone and then reloading it again but I worry that it will delete all my calendar info??? Any suggestions?
To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.

I have a sync key, and have a new computer terminal, but when I enter the account details I created, it syncs nothing with my new computer. How do I fix this? There is nothing showing up when I sync with the sync key from my old terminal.

You are probably trying to use old Sync with Firefox newer than version 29,
and they did make old Sync unusable on fresh installations of newer Firefox.
You can uninstall that newer Firefox, then install Firefox 29 from here:

Apply your sync key code, then update that installation to current Firefox,
then migrate to new Sync:

i just updated my mac and when i went to open iphoto it says it "can not open because of a problem" how do i fix this?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List. -
I recently purchase an ipad2. I also have a mac laptop. Now, when I facetime call using my iphone to my ipad2 or mac, it states busy. how can i fix this problem? I have the same apple id e mail for both ipad2 and mac. it might be getting confuse now. I called walmart coz I bought it there and they told me that they have not heard that before but if I can't fix it, just return it and exchange it with anew one since I have 14 days to do that. I tried rebooting it and still won't work. Should I just restore it?

1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -
My iPad 2 shows I have 7 apps that need to be updated and when I go into my App Store it won't pull up anything for my updates how can I fix this????
It seems Apple is having some issues at their end. There have been hundreds of posts on the forum with the same problem.

As has been pointed out, if there was a "previous owner", the phone is not "new". Thephone you purchased is most likely stolen. If whoever you bought it from won't give you your money back, turn it over to the police. -
When I manually add songs to iphone 4s many appear gray and won't play. How do I fix this? I have the manually manage music button checked, and I can play them on itunes, but on my iphone they appear gray and won't play. There doesn't seem to be any reason, as one song from an album will play, but the other 9 won't....

I made an album in iPhoto and when it plays through the "slideshow", heads are cut off in some of the pictures. How do I fix this?
When running a slideshow from an album it will not run properly if the photos are sorted manually. Sort them by any of the other options, title, date, rating, etc. and it will play correctly.
Send a report of the problem to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
If you must sort them manually create the slideshow in the slideshow mode in iPhoto, not from an album.

Which os do you have? Which version of iPhoto did you update to? Did you check iPhoto's trash? Finder's trash? Did you repair permissions and restart your computer after updating?
