I want my Outlook and email on my I Phone to remain independant of one another. When I delete from my I Phone I want the email to remain untouched on my Outlook. How can I "disconnect" the two?

Microsoft did as they always do - copy others and in this case they copied Google by allowing a Hotmail account to be accessed as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app.
If you are accessing the account as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app, delete the account and recreate the account as a POP account.
A downside with a POP account is only one email client at a time can communicate with the incoming mail server to check the server for new messages and to download any new messages. When one email client is doing this when another attempts to do the same, the incoming mail server will temporarily block the 2nd email client from accessing the server.

I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive.

On your MIL's device go to Settings>Messages> Send and Receive and delete the email address you are calling. Add her own email address if she wants to use Messages and here own is not listed.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.

I am having an issue with duplicate Libraries showing up in my Home Sharing "Home Videos". It happens when I import home videos into iTunes and change the names of the files. How do I avoid this from happening and delete the duplicate libraries?

The sort fields should generally be empty unless you've putting in custom values to sort solo artists by their surnames. You can apply common changes to thousands of tracks at once, just don't apply the wrong change because there is no undo.

This is irritating.

A new tab will always open at the end of the current open tabs. In order to load a tab in the background try to right click and select "Open in new tab"
(Note you may need to turn off the Tab preference that switches to it immediately)

I ran un update to iPhoto as instructed but when done I had no Event Pictures to the right of my Albums..just Palm Trees...how can I fix this?

I updated an old IPhoto library to work with the lastest Iphoto update as instructed. I lost all my "Event Pictures" and have just Palm Tree graphics? What to do?
How do I redo this? What went wrong..can I chnage a setting? This library is on an External drive. Here is path.. Usres/Jeff H Dubiel, desktop/iphoto Library (original)/restored Files 2 copy/Mac HD/users/Jeff H Dubiel/Pictures/IPhoto Library(original).. 71 GB 14,000 photo's,352 events..not sure how accurate that is with duplicates etc. Also all updates installed.
Also on another Library I need updated it "hangs" if I try to update it. Can I use earlier Iphoto versions somehow on these?

Most Simple Back Up
Drag the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to another Disk. This will make a copy on that disk.
Slightly more complex:
Use an app that will do incremental back ups. This is a very good way to work. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically. Examples of such apps: Chronosync or DejaVu . But are many others. Search on MacUpdate
Note:
hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto.
If you're getting the options you refer to you're not holding the command key as well.

This post has already been answered. Why are you plugging your own site with an answer that has already been given? Not to mention that the information you are handing out is incorrect. There is no bug, there is no patch, and no one needs to delete any email addresses. I read of a work-around to stop this, but it does not meet my needs. The work-around is to change your USB connection option from "mass storage device" to the one of the options about uploading pictures. This would not work for me because I'm connecting the cable so I can access the phone's memory as a mass storage device!

Yes, you can stop it. When you plug in the phone, down in the lower right of your screen, click and pull up the Motorola Device Manager. Do as you please with it.

The way I sync mine is to have an 'master' folder on my computer, and underneath it I have separate folders for the photos that I want to sync to the iPad - I then select the master folder in iTunes and the folders underneath it are synced to the iPad, each getting their own album.
